Faith: Discovering The Transformative Power of Faith

Introduction

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence” Helen Keller. If you asked many people, you would get different answers from everyone because faith is different for everyone. Faith is a very important value for me. Faith is important to me because it has given me hope, faith strengthens me, and it relieves my stress.

Importance of Faith

Having faith has changed me by giving me hope when I don’t have it. In the dictionary, faith is defined as the complete trust or confidence in someone or something; or a belief based on proof. Faith is a belief. When I was in 4th grade, I passed level 6 in gymnastics, I was really excited to try level 7. As I went to practices, I realized it was nothing like my past level. This required more training and work. I was very frustrated because I couldn’t get my skills right. I had two choices, and considered both the day after practice. My first choice was to go back to level 6, or keep practicing until I get it right. It was a very difficult decision to make that night, but I decided to stay at level 7. That night I prayed I would get better and learn the skills. When it was my meet day, I felt ready and I didn’t do bad at all. I realized that all I needed to have was faith and hope.

Faith has made me a stronger person because I know now to not give up and to try my best. If everyone had faith, they would feel more relieved, and they would have less stress. People would be happier because when someone is stressed they aren't so happy and having faith makes all that go away. Everyone has to remember to always be patient, to focus on the positive and not the negative and to have hope. At times life can be difficult and challenging, faith is the understanding that you feel, that things will get better.

Embracing Faith

My parents define faith as something wonderful that makes your life bright, it’s believing that something is true and committing our lives through it. It doesn’t mean just giving up when something goes wrong and to lose all your hope. When you really want to achieve something and make it happen, faith is the power that helps you make it happen. People experience dark times and situations that we ask ourselves “why me?” even if it’s awful and you think you will never get it over with, your faith will help you get through the situation. Always try to achieve your hopes and dreams and never stop just because you faced an obstacle because we have all faced many obstacles in our lives, and we have moved on. Use your faith as much as you can and you will find out it’s all going to be okay.

Conclusion

Faith motivates me to accomplish my goal. It has made me become a stronger and happier person. I urge many people to have faith and hope in themselves because it can really change you in becoming a successful, stronger person. Focus on the positive and commit through it. Always use your faith because in the end it’s all going to be okay.
