Golden Corral – My Favorite Restaurant

My favorite restaurant is Golden Corral. I enjoy going and eating at Golden Corral because of its family atmosphere, the wide range of food options and the deals that are always available no matter what day of the week. Having a buffet with friends and family is a way everyone can get to eat what they love and not have to be limited to food choices. We normally eat at home, but when we do go to Golden Corral it is normal for a special occasion. I have never been to a restaurant where people are happy to help and you’re not waiting for a drink and serve. I would choose the Golden Corral every time for my restaurant of choice.

Three Reasons Why My Favorite Restaurant is Golden Corral

First, I enjoy eating at Golden Corral because of its family atmosphere. The sitting areas with the tables are made to fit more than two people. You do not have to try and surround a small table for a big group of people. For me being a family of four, soon to be five it is important to have spread out and have space. Have space while we are eating so we can make sure we get full and no one is breathing over our plates. Even though there are tables that fit four people we eat at a table made for six people. Golden Corral is a great restaurant because of how the entrance attracts children to want to eat and play at their location. I love the fact my sons can wait for us to be served by playing with game machines that cost a quarter. They think they’re at Chuck E Cheese and so the wait in line does not feel as long waiting to eat. The restaurant also has posters and advisement that catches not only my eyes but the children eyes. Time your waiting in line, you get to spend it getting to know individuals and their families. People are kind to help the elderly and families with children. I feel that you can always have a great conversation with others when waiting to be served.

Secondly, I enjoy eating at Golden Corral because of the wide range of food. There are different areas that attract people to come to try the food. There is a hot and cold area for people to choose food to eat. The grill has a range of different types of meats that are smoked. The cold area has salads, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Golden Corral has food from different cultures. My favorite food is Chinese food and Soul food that they have to offer. My sons on the other hand stick to American food, something that they’re knowledgeable about and have eaten before. Like all places, Golden Corral has a spread of desserts available to the guest to pick from and partake in. There is an area just for bread, cakes, ice-creams and so much more. The best part is there is no limit on how much dessert you can eat. My son and all children favorite area of the dessert area is the chocolate foundation, a person can add chocolate to almost anything they can think off to eat. You get to make your own creations and dip your items in the chocolate. Children seem to be impressed with the chocolate foundation since it is eye level.

Finally, I enjoy eating at Golden Corral because of the deals and specials that are always available for people to use every day of the week. From the young to the old there is a deal with your name on it for you to use on your visit. The school district where my children are enrolled gives awards for the children to get a free meal with the purchase of an adult buffet. The awards help encourage children to be successful in with their school work, they look forward to the award for Golden Corral. I love the fact that my favorite restaurant is doing something to promote success in school. Every time my family goes to Golden Corral we see a line of children with their award in their hand, waiting to give it to the cashier to be used. Golden Corral also has deals for a family to make sure their young children have a decent meal. Children under the age of three get to eat for free, which is a plus for most families. Monday through Thursday night are also a great time for families to eat at my favorite restaurant. They offer a discounted rate for children. The discounts do not stop there, seniors and veterans are also offered discounts at the restaurant. When a senior is on a fixed income, being able to go get a buffet for under ten dollars Monday through Thursday is a big deal. Some of the restaurants in the chain even offer military and veterans discounts which range between ten and twenty percent off a buffet meal.

Final Personal Thoughts

In my opinion, Golden Corral will always be my favorite restaurant because of the atmosphere, food, and great deals. Golden Corral has been one of my favorite restaurants even before I was married and had children. I have a better respect for the restaurant now that I can see and understand what they have to offer. The restaurant is not a one size fits all, everyone can find what they’re looking for to eat. The atmosphere should be one that families and individuals all feel welcomed and not an outsider. The feel of a home cooked meal when all the family sits down to eat. I always feel as if I am at a family reunion. The food should be variety so everyone in the group can eat and feel as if their money is not being wasted. It does not feel as if I am going to any normal fast food or restaurant that serves the same menu. Lastly, all restaurant should offer some type of discount for everyone to be able to afford a decent meal every once in a while. Golden Corral is not only my favorite restaurant but a lot of other people. If you give it a try, I am sure it will be your favorite as well.
