Hidden Haunted Place in Hyderabad: Dhed Lakh Ghar

Dhed Lakh Ghar is known among the locals of Hyderabad as the city’s most haunted house and even though dark tourism destinations have become famous in many other places around the world, only a few tourists learn about the Dhed Lakh Ghar while visiting Hyderabad. At the time it was built, it was one of the prettiest and most expensive houses in this city. However, a series of unexplainable mysterious incidents, including three suicides happened throughout the years that lead to this house becoming the most haunted house in Hyderabad. If you don’t believe these stories, you should still check out this house because its architecture is extraordinary. 

The house has been abandoned for more than 20 years and you don’t need to pay an entrance fee if you want to go inside. Many locals attributed this to the presence of a ghost and the number of suicides in the neighborhood increased dramatically. Nowadays, many people spend the nights in another nearby temple, thinking they’ll be safe there while a lot of other people completely vacated their houses. 

Whether or not these stories are true, visiting this neighborhood after nightfall sure is a scary experience. As you walk down the streets of Ravindranagar, you’ll surely notice that every house has a strange message written on its door- these are all religious slogans that locals believe will protect their house and family from whatever they think is out there.
