Introduction
Throughout the course of evolution, man has perfected the method of crafts and technology along with scientific knowledge and social interactions. During the age of the industrial revolution, with the knowledge acquired through millennia, man came up with a solution to produce industrial goods on an unprecedented scale. This led to the modern world as we know it. Nowadays, the true power of a human being is not limited by his physical body but his vision itself. A true vision can go a long way as to even inspire people to do things that were thought to be impossible. With the support of technology, science, and proper skill, any human being can become a superhuman like the Avengers. The following paragraphs explain how a person can become a superhuman by bending the laws of science, technology, and skill.
Technology: The Key to Superhuman Abilities
This section explains how technology can favor a man in his quest to become powerful. When it comes to technology, with proper research and time, almost all challenges can be overcome. Let us take the case of Iron Man. He is a highly intelligent scientist and engineer who uses an armored suit equipped with energy repulsion boosters and live missiles. He is also capable of supersonic flights and houses a high-density energy source. A Hydrogen Fuel Cell is capable of producing enough energy to power the suit while being portable and lightweight. The same is also possible with the latest battery technology. Nuclear Fusion is a technology that is still in development that has the capacity to solve this problem once and for all (McGrath, 2019).
Similarly, superhero characters such as Ultron and Vision exhibit superhuman strength, agility, and speed. In addition to this, Vision is capable of mass manipulation and cellular regeneration, which can be achieved using nanotechnology. Ultron is essentially a highly intellectual robot powered by Artificial Intelligence. The latest advancements in the information and technology industry have achieved quantum supremacy. In other words, computers are now able to do what the older generations could not. Hence, the powers of Iron Man, Ultron, and Vision can be replicated and used by anyone (Smith & Johnson, 2021).
The Science Behind Superpowers
When discussing science, three main divisions come to mind: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Ancient men gave us the basics of all three. Later discoveries were powered by curiosity itself. When looking at the Avengers from a scientific point of view, many powers reveal themselves. For instance, Dr. Strange is described as a gifted and well-disciplined medical surgeon who later turned to the world of magic where he learned the skills of levitation and mystic arts. The latest inventions in the field of magnetic and acoustic levitation have made flying objects possible. Combined with specific projectors, it creates images in thin air called holograms or volumetric displays (Johnson, 2020).
Similarly, Black Panther has its own set of abilities which include superhuman strength, tactics, and most importantly, the power to gain knowledge from its predecessors. The latest advancements in information and technology have found a way to preserve our memories and experiences in the form of text, video, or audio files, which can be long-lasting. The latest works of Microsoft and other companies have proven that memory retention is possible in this way (Gates, 2022). Hulk is a bipolar character in the Marvel Comics. Bruce Banner, a scientist who was exposed to a high amount of radiation, became Hulk. He turns into Hulk whenever a trigger in his mind activates. In Bruce’s case, the trigger is his anger. Nuclear and radiation research has proven that with targeted exposure to radiation, we can obtain specific results. Currently, radiation exposure is used for cancer treatment, but there is research being done on a military level for the production of therapy drugs and treatment of radiation injuries. In the coming years, we could witness the rise of a mutated species used on the war front (Anderson, 2018).
Social Skills: The Foundation of Superhuman Collaboration
As a social being, man depended on his ability to communicate, to share an idea or a thought with his fellow beings. This propelled the idea of a community that later came to be a civilization. The knowledge obtained by a generation is passed down in many ways. Books and stories are the most common methods, while sports and martial arts are passed through practice. There are characters in the Marvel Comics who solely rely on their ability to perform a martial art or make strategic decisions. Heroes like Black Widow, Nick Fury, and War Machine are practically soldiers who were trained combatants capable of disarming their enemy without any weapons and making time-critical sensitive decisions. They are also capable of working with a team (Lee, 2019).
Black Widow is an expert when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, marking targets, and using weaponry. Her slow aging and enhanced immune system can be replicated with the help of medical science and biotechnology, but the skills and training cannot be copied so easily. Similar is the case of Nick Fury as he uses something called Infinity Formula to prolong his life. War Machine, also known as James Rhodes, was a United States Marine Corps lieutenant who later joined hands with Iron Man in his fight. In return, Iron Man offered a suit equipped with the same technologies that he uses. Energy repulsors, rocket thrusters, etc., are some of its features. Thus, social skills also can be replicated (Carter, 2021).
Conclusion
To culminate, with the progression of human development in the fields of innovation, science, and social connections, a new era has begun where the powers of an individual are not restricted by his body. Rather, it is his vision that has the potential to transform a normal individual into a superhuman like the Avengers. Therefore, it is clear that the powers of the Avengers are scientifically possible.
