Meeting new people or friends is one of the things that excites me the most. I get to learn new things from them. I can tell them my past experiences and hear their past experiences as well. We can share our secrets with each other. I can learn how other people think and interact. I find it amazing how they will affect and change our future. That is why I love meeting new friends because a friend may benefit you in many ways, and I know for sure that they will help me to know more about myself.
I met this person and had known her for a long time already but never considered her as one of my friends. We talked but never really had a deep conversation together. I saw her as someone with whom I would never be comfortable or compatible. I judged her based on the actions I observed and what other people said about her. I never really expected her to be my friend until we became classmates. We started talking to each other every day. We were learning more about each other with each passing day. I didn't realize that we were getting close to each other. I started becoming attached to her. At first, I was afraid and did not want to be so close to her because she might just leave me and hurt me. But she tried gaining my trust by showing how much she loves and cares for me as her friend. I saw what her intentions were. I also saw that she's different from other people, and she values her friends so much, so I gave her my trust. She became someone who is very important to me. Every single day is different without her. She became someone I can call my "happy pill." She can change my mood in just a split second. I know that she is the one I was waiting for when I got to know her deeper. She is the one that I have been looking for for a long time. She is currently my closest friend, and I enjoy spending my day together with her. She inspires me in a way and gives me the motivation to do better in my studies. My life has changed ever since we became friends.
Having friends is great. We don't know how much our life will change when we meet such people. We also don't know how much they will mean to us until we get to know each other and become friends. So never judge a person according to what you see and hear. You first need to know more deeply about the person before concluding who the person really is. You never know that that person might be your best friend, lover, or even more. Choosing your friends wisely is something you should always remember. Your friends may also be the ones who lead you to your success. So find someone who will be a good influence on you. Remember not to chase a person who doesn't want you in their life; it is not worth it. These are the lessons I've learned from my past experiences.
