Overview of the problem

Nursing turnover is a significant problem in the healthcare systems across the globe. Employee turnover, as understood by the human resource professionals, is the rate at which an organization’s workforce terminates employment and requires replacement (Rondeau, 2016). The continuously growing number of nurses that are continuously leaving their jobs is receiving a great deal of attention due to its significant impact (Dyrbye, 2017).

Ideally, the American Healthcare system is suffering huge constraints following the high demand in healthcare and a reduction in the supply of health care services due to high nursing turnover. Besides causing burnouts among the existing nursing practitioners, the high nursing turnover has also contributed to the failure of the healthcare organizations to successfully deliver its services hence resulting in significant consequences such as high rate of mortality (Dyrbye, 2017). As such, there is a need to initiate proper change management to ensure that the problem is solved.

Three Objectives

  1. Increasing the level of satisfaction of the nursing practitioners in the healthcare organizations. ii.Improving the delivery of the health care services.
  2. Improving the rate of revenue and profit margin in the healthcare organizations.

Three Requirements

  1. Development of a clear vision for the analytics-based solution.
  2. Development of the proper metrics to gather insights on how the problem can be solved.
  3. Development of a team with the right skills and aptitudes to complete the analytics project.

Connecting the Problem and the Advanced Analytics ProgramThe decision tree is a predictive machine-learning algorithm that is used to supervise the learning problems in an entity. Essentially, this program can be used to make predictions about unknown future events (Meng, 2016). With the advancements in analytics, this predictive machine learning can be used to predict the various factors and critical features that are linked to the nursing turnover in the modern healthcare environment. With this advanced analytics program, the health care systems will be able to uncover the critical variables that can trigger the nursing turnover rate in the future. Ideally, the results obtained from the project can be used to develop an analysis and make the suitable suggestions to ensure that the problem is mitigated.
