HISTORY OF ORCHESTRA
Typically, orchestra grew is size through the 18th century and 19th centuries, reaching a peak with a large orchestra [of as many as 120players] called off in the life of Richard Wagner and later Gustav Mahler.in recent decades some orchestras have returned to the Baroque, classical and early Romantic seating and of musicians: second viol into the right, cellos and violas to the center which gives the muscle a stereophonic effect. Orchestra are usually led by a conductor who directs the performances with movements of the hands and arms, often made easier for the musicians to see by use of conductor buttons, the conductor and unifies the orchestra sets the tempo and shapes the sound of the ensemble. The conductor also prepares the orchestra by leading the music. A full-size orchestra may sometimes be called symphony.

The String Family
These are instruments that use sting vibration to produce sound. They can be plucked or bowed. There are four main string instruments; these are violin, viola, cello and bass.
The Woodwind Family
The next largest section of the orchestra is the woodwind family most woodwind instruments use small piece of wood called a reed to produce their vibration.
Percussion Family
Are musical instruments that is sounded by being struck or scraped by a beater, struck, scraped or rubbed by hand or struck against another similar instrument it is believed to have oldest musical instrument following the human voice they include timpani snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, triangle and tambourine.
The Brass Family
This are instruments that produce sound by sympathetic vibration of air in a tubular resonator in sympathy with the vibration of the players lips they include alphorn, Cornett and saxophone.
