Martin Luther - The Main Reason of Reformation of The Church

The church was very dark before Martin Luther decided to step into for what the church was doing and by stepping in, he made an enormous impact. Martin Luther was a German professor of theology, priest, and a seminal figure in the Protestant Reformation. Luther was a priest of the church and moved into the priesthood in 1507. He came to reject several teachings and practices of the Roman Catholic church; in particular, he disputed the view on indulgences.

Martin Luther made an enormous impact on the church because of his contributions to speaking up about how the rituals/doings that the church were doing was wrong and that some of the things that they were doing to innocent people and slaves were not sacrificing people to god and it didn’t work. The church belived that if you have witnessed someone that has killed themselves from suicide means that the devil tempted tham to do that and that they are going to hell. Martin luther helped correct the church and form it to what it is today and without him the church would be very different and martin luther played a huge role in the church reformation.

His 95 theses, which conveyed two key convictions that the Bible is the main religious authority and that human beings can attain salvation only through their faith and not through their deeds, were to spark the Protestant Reformation. The purpose of this was also to make luther bring people closer to God and let them have a connection to him to see what is right and what is wrong.

His writings were responsible for fractionalizing the Catholic Church and sparking the Protestant Reformation. His central teachings, that the Bible is the central source of religious authority and that salvation is reached through faith and not deeds, shaped the core of Protestantism.

The first two theses contained the central idea of Luther, that God expected christians to seek repentance, and that faith alone would lead to salvation rather than actions. These first two were backed by the other 93 theses, a number of which immediately criticized indulgences practice.Committed to the concept that salvation can be achieved through faith and only through divine grace, Luther strongly objected to the corrupt practice of selling indulgences.

To conclude, Martin Luither was the only reason that the churched change the way that it did, martin found a way to convince the pope that his statement was true back in 1512 and the pope took on for what martin wrote in the 95 theses and put it into action. Martin found a way to convince the village people as well for telling these stories and telling them about the wrongdoings of the church and how it can change if they changed to protest against their beliefs.
