Name one of the greatest basketball players of all time? A hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. My hero is Michael Jordan, he is the greatest player of all time because no one in could stop him in my point of view. He is a determined, honest, and proud person. He is a phenomenal athlete and his skills were so unique with a combination of fundamental soundness, grace, speed, power, artistry, and some people say he had a thirst for winning, that never went away. His weaknesses are he can’t shoot 3 that well (probably because shooting threes were not favored by most coaches at the start of his career). Likes baseball a bit too much, and is not that great at it compared to his basketball skills. Jordan has single-handedly redefined the NBA superstar and is the NBA’s model of how to play. Now let’s talk about his weaknesses and the obstacles he faced. He had game jitters. He had a broken foot. Top rate opponents in his conference. (The ‘85–86 Celtics, ‘88–90 Pistons, ‘90–93 Knicks). The senseless murder of his father. The ravages of age and retirement taking a toll on his body. Playing against 6–7 of the top 20 players and 2 of the top 5 in NBA history, during his prime. The difficulties in an era of winning a title three times in a row. An era dominated by big men. Being a huge target for opposing defenses. He has past evidence of gambling addictions. But you can see through his career he overcome these obstacles.
Despite Michael's challenges, he overcame them for reasons that people believe, ” He was determined and had a correction about him even in his weaknesses. He was a generous man. Michael never came off as prideful or arrogant (although he had all bragging rights) He was a private man, and showed humbleness throughout. He I'm sure (as we all do) had his moments. Michael kept it real with his fans. He was an expert with the duck and dodge technique, but in the court, NOT in his dealings in life. In his setbacks throughout his career, he got back up every time, even though” he admittedly “was not feeling his most confident, bottom line he was an honest man and definitely not a quitter. Many people admired him. Michael wore University of North Carolina shorts for good luck before every game. After his broken foot, he returns for the final 15 games of the regular season and scoring up to 63 points in during period of those final 15 games. Michael is very honest. He has never cheated in a basketball game.
One more character trait is you see in Michael is proud. He is proud to help his team win 7 NBA finals. He also received the NBA Rookie-of-the-Year Award along with five regular-season MVP awards and three All-Star MVP awards. He was one of the only players to ever score an average of over 3, 000 points in an entire season other than Wilt Chamberlain. Voted one of the best 50 basketball players of all time. He got his own shoes. He won ESPY athlete of the century award. In 1992 Michael won the Olympics with the Dream Team, which included, David Robinson, Scottie Pippen, John Stockton, Christian Laettner, Clyde Drexler, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Charles Barkley. He is also the managing member of Basketball Operations Charlotte Bobcats In 2006.
