At some point in our lives we found ourselves with soldiers who appear in many movies that we like; without seeing or knowing what it takes to be in that role. In the military demonstrate that values can develop a Soldier. For some people the transition from civilian to the military it’s very difficult; everything is based on how they got raised. Values can be learned through been taught or by experience or circumstances. In the military you been tough so that every soldier would have in present the following values; Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, honor, Integrity and Personal Courage.

In the military, the loyalty of Soldiers as well the fulfillment of the commitment of honor its contracted. Respect, sincerity, support, cooperation, adherence and fellowship are values that implies with Loyalty. Loyalty keeps its values and obligations above convenience and hardship. Loyalty must always be given and bases the unity of a military institution. Loyalty obliges the practice to be complete, to show itself without folds, not to hide or to warp the reality, to speak without suspicion to superiors and subordinates and to advise with honesty.

Duty is a quality that drives soldiers to work properly and to the most exact fulfillment of its obligation. The most fundamental Duty in the military is to defend the constitution of the United States. The sense of Duty it’s more than a forced obligation; it’s a spirit, love to serve and commitment with the military. Duty it’s formalized in the Army by the second general order.

Respect in the army it’s a behavior in the military must adjust to its conduct; It has as its bases of obedience, and a high concept of the honor and of the moral, and by object, the faithful and exact fulfillment of the duties that prescribe the laws and military regulations. Discipline needs respect and mutual considerations surrounded by the leader and its Soldier, violation of this standard of conduct shall be punished by military laws and regulations. The military must continue in a active way in the fulfillment of its obligations, in order to obtain the estimation and obedience of its Soldier.

Permanent disposition to put your soldiers before your own, giving our life a sense of selfless service to the benefit of Soldiers. Selfless Service is one of the main components of the military passion, whose goal is to serve United States. In the impression of all missions entrusted to a soldier or military unit are considered ‘acts of service’, both in peace and at war. Selfless Service is conducted without expecting anything in return and the reward received is the satisfaction of duty fulfilled.

Honor is a moral quality in the military that drives us to realize the strictest success of our duties with pride of what we do. It is the basis of the discipline that governs the activities of all human beings, whatever the social classes to which they belong. In the Military, honor is acquired special relevance, as it is personnel who have the immediate mission to safeguard the interests of our country. Honor, justice and morality are the basis of the discipline that orders the conduct of the military, both in the performance of its services and in family and social relations.

Integrity is the fundamental ethical value of excellence, when a person is integral. Integrity must be a consistent practice in thinking and actions oriented towards the Soldiers values, sharing its ideals with loyalty; Cultivating this high value will make the military an integral person, with responsibility and maturity to defend the personal honor, the dignity of our country and the greatness of our army in all circumstances. To preach and act according to the principles of integrity, will make of the soldier, think and feel without calculations of the probable personal consequences, of rewards or punishments, but with the exclusive thought that one is acting correct and Honest. Integrity will be a shield to protect you from incurring fraud, deceit, corruption and any dishonest act.

The behavior of personal courage is the permanent character that has drive and strength to confront and overcome fear in danger, to achieve an specific goal. Personal Courage in the aspect of a Soldier, moves the military to undertake risky missions, without fear of dangers. This Military value is more excellent than simple and common value, as it should it shows in the most difficult circumstances of life in a professional and personal way, the moment when it faces death and pain, without extenuating, selflessly, for the benefit of others.

The conclusion is that in the military; values determine and establish the moral norms; that builds and formalized the military community. Soldiers have the moral conscience and he has the capacity of self-awareness to be valued and to be able to be judge by his behavior. Among all these values stands out as the main and truly characteristic of the military patriotism or love of our country. As follow in importance: the sense of duty and after him the value and discipline.
