My Motivation to Apply to The Baden-württemberg Scholarship Program

It is true that development of oneself begins at young age. However, I truly believe that I still have room for self-development in several aspects of a person's life. By having a chance to apply for the Baden-Württemberg Scholarship Program is a rare opportunity that could provide valuable experiences and benefits for me. The scholarship would be used to aid the pursuit of my exchange semester at University of Mannheim.

My name is Praweena Manop who is currently studying in Bachelor of Business Administration at Thammasat University as a third-year finance student. I have consistently proven myself throughout several years of studies and numerous extracurricular activities that I am a dedicated person who would try my best to achieve a lot of things. Moreover, I am a hard worker, any tasks I have been assigned to would considered to be my highest priority. I have planned to succeed in academic area and my future career path regarding to finance.

With my great enthusiasm in trying to develop my skills, I have participated in several extracurricular activities. To exemplify, I have taken part in Thammasat Undergraduate Business Challenge (TUBC) for 2 consecutive years as excursion department. This department is responsible for taking the participants out to explore and join in several activities such as Thai cooking, Thai boxing, and Thai massage around Bangkok. By taken charged in this department, I could develop plenty of skills that could be used throughout my studies and future career path. I have improved communication skill; I know more how to deal and negotiate with people. I have also learned how to work and make a decision under pressure which is very essential in working life. I know when I should be the leader and follower. I have been success in collaborating with others and adapting to fit it any circumstances. As a result, I have cultivated a lot of essential skills that would shape me into a better person.

By applying to this scholarship, it would give me an opportunity to represent my faculty and my university. This is considered to be an honor to me and my family. The scholarship would help me through my exchange semester in which it would reduce financial burden for my family. Therefore, I could concentrate mainly on studying and cultivating any valuable experiences from being an exchange student. Moreover, I would strive hard to fulfill my dream and pursue my future career. I am vey thankful for being able to take course at University of Mannheim and looking forward to being there.
