Stereotype, as I understand it, is a fixed idea about particular party. Whether this party is a group of people or a country, the stereotype is always overgeneralized and probably not true. Sometimes, the stereotype can be harmless, but it can be harmful as well. For example, a stereotype of Asian people looks the same or all Americans have blonde hair and blue eyes is harmless; however, a man with a long beard is considered a terrorist is a nonsense harmful stereotype. A girl who wears a short skirt is a prostitute. A man who rides a Harley motorcycle is a gang member. These wrong ideas do not grow in our minds just like that; instead, many elements play roll in the story of stereotypes. The family, the environment, the ideologies, and wars are examples of those elements.

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

The most effective advertisement for stereotype is the media. It can put ideas that are not true or misunderstood in the head of the locals for political reasons. That is how the media controlled the minds of millions of people all over the world. When the event of 9/11 happened, and there were Saudi members in the hijacked planes, the fingers were pointed to Saudi Arabia as a suspect of the events. Americans did not hear about Islam unless a popular person was a Muslim. After 9/11, the media began a war against Saudi Arabia, against Islam specifically. A numerous number of people know Islam as the religion that wants to take all over the world by the power of the sword. The idea of Islam as a peaceful religion was ruined by the word and act of TV shows representors. Islam and its followers were abused socially and physically by the crowd who was angry, and it is its right to be so. However, unless the truth is pure as a glass, nobody should accuse anyone of anything. In the beginning, the victims of that ruthless, peace-less act of war event were given the green light from the United States court suit Saudi Arabia for helping plan the attack. The Saudi government declined any connection to the attack and grave with the United States. The US is a historical ally of Saudi Arabia and there is no reason for Saudi Arabia to harm and destroy this bond with the US. Stereotypes about Saudi citizens as haters and murderers were crossing the globe. At that time, I was young to remember. Nonetheless, my father does. The way the world looked at my country at that time was disrespectful and misunderstood. American citizens were walking down the streets, holding signs discriminating the Saudi government and its citizens. Not only that, but also discriminating Islam. It was not their fault to ask for justice, it was the media who rolled a major stereotype about my country as a terrorist country. Saudis who had scholarships or staying in the United States for any reason were afraid for themselves.

After years and years Saudi Arabia became innocent and the United States cleared my country from the attacks. Nevertheless, the stereotypes are still there, even though the events had nothing to do with my country or Islam. We can't bear the cost of all the stereotyping that is going ahead between us. After we come, and we say to individuals to simply be their identity. In the event that we say to a man that he or she is a nonconformist, just from the manner in which they are dressed, that is simply thoroughly off-base. Flower child is somebody who rejects the way of life, not simply the person who has long hair and wears dabs. We are utilizing the words in the wrong way. There are numerous individuals that have no companions, since they are burnt out on their investigate. Abandon everything and don't give generalizations a chance to demolish your social life.

Stereotypes have a colossal effect of how we feel. That influences individuals to have no inspiration; along these lines they won't have great execution at any level in their life. For example, if a child is stereotyped as dark and corpulent, by what means can these words make him feel better, with the goal that he/she can proceed onward to the following level? This can make mental weight. Other individuals confront generalizations as a danger. For instance, there is a generalization that says that ladies are awful drivers. It puts significantly more weight on how they feel, not exclusively being around individuals who are naming them, however being around individuals that they trust. They will attempt to demonstrate to them this is only a generalization and it doesn't exist. Furthermore, this happens in circumstances where individuals stress for their execution and what they look like. Other than that, individuals don't need their poor execution to prompt negative generalizations.

Individuals from stereotyped gatherings stress of what they are doing, and this makes them pushed, in light of the fact that they believe that they must be flawless, in all parts of their lives! Individuals become weary of being condemned constantly. At the point when there is nobody ready to close individuals' mouths, they begin to wind up disconnected. Similarly, they don't talk, since they are reluctant to state something incorrectly, with the goal that they won't look senseless. They fear disappointment. For instance, individuals appear to be amazed when they see men cry or being passionate. They believe that men are not permitted to express their emotions, or men have no sentiments by any means. Men are not oblivious, they have sentiments, but rather that is only a generalization and a speculation from our general public. It is anything but difficult to see that with are activities and colloquialisms we are endeavoring to slaughter feelings and considerations! We ought to figure out how to control our sentiments and feelings, rather than giving generalizations a chance to control them. Stereotypes are not affordable. No-one has the right to judge anyone by their appearance. Rather than concentrating on every one of the oversights of every individual, we should begin giving careful consideration of how one of a kind every individual is. Generalization makes individuals feel forlorn and even once in a while discouraged. It's likewise destructive for their condition and their social life. We should keep generalizations good and gone, despite the fact that occasionally we can be unfortunate casualties ourselves. Quit deciding about individuals previously you even become acquainted with them.
