Overview of My Career Plan

A career plan is a plan that allows one to set his/her own goals and work towards that goal to achieve his/her own expectations in life. One must come up with an elaborate plan which explores all avenues which must be followed to achieve the intended career goal. The career plan must be one which is realistic in nature (Eun Jung, 2020)

When I hear someone asking me “what do you want to be when you grow up.” or “what do you want to study in school?” I honestly get really nervous because I’m now in my junior year of high school and have basically nothing planned out but I always answer with the same answer something along the lines of “ I don't know but I do know I WANT to go to college and university and I want to have an art or animal job.”

In my career plan, I would want to be something to do with art or a job to do with animals. Art and animals are my passion and I intend to do everything possible to ensure that I succeed in making it a reality. In art, I would make a lot of connections with the world, people who would also help me grow as well (Eun Jung, 2019).

When I was in middle school and going into my freshman year of high school all I knew about college was the typical things, get good grades, register for running start to get early credits for college and take Honor/AP classes so they look good on your application for college. I’m slowly learning that to succeed in my career plan, I have to lay down some strategies which will help me get to that point where I want to reach. I have to ensure that I invest heavily in my career by acquiring the best education which will see me get to that point. I have to acquire some basic knowledge of how to handle it (Motley, 2020). Being that I am focusing on Art, I have to get the best education to match the standards.

In my career plan, if I want to create a business first I have to look for the capital for starting the business. For the business I am planning to start, I need a lot of work space and materials which will facilitate my career plan. I will sell some of my shares. With that amount, I will be able to start the businesses which will continue to grow. I will also borrow loans from the financial institution which will also boost my business in a better way (Yilmaz, 2016).

For my career plan, I want it to be very effective and one that is realistic. I have to work on a time frame to enable me to deliver on the career plan. For this to be effective I have to give it a span of 4 years after which, I will have accomplished most of the things I need to have accomplished then embark on the business. Within the first 4 years, I want to ensure that I am done with education which is an important step towards the realization of the career plan.

I want to take on a business administration course in one of the prestigious universities in the US. After completion of my course, finding the best network connection to the world’s business community will be my second priority where I will connect with the best and famous business people (Theodora, 2019).

With these connections, I will continue to grow in business by getting different ideas as well as exploring the best business opportunities worldwide. For the next 4 years, my shares will also have gone too high which will be a good amount in starting the business. With the addition of the money lending institutions which I also plan to borrow some money from.

Lastly, I should create strong and elaborate measures and machinery through which the business will be operated. I have to find a strategic location where I will be able to carry out most of my business activities. In this case, I think that California State offers the best place through which operating the business will be conducive. The target population is motivating and it offers a good environment for the business.

One reason I love art is because there are many different types of art like painting, sculpting, and architecture are some, but within those you can make art with different types of mediums. The three main branches of visual art are painting, sculpture and architecture. Music, theatre, film, dance, and other humanistic discipline, also as literature and other media like interactive media, are included during a broader definition of the humanities.

Until the 17th century, art mentioned any skill or mastery and wasn't differentiated from crafts or sciences. Art could be a various range of art involving the creation of visual, auditory or performing artifacts, which express the creator's imagination, conceptual ideas, or technical skill, intended to be appreciated primarily for his or her beauty or emotional power.

Other activities related to the production of works of art include art criticism and the history of art. However, even fine art often has goals beyond pure creativity and self-expression. The purpose of art could be to speak ideas, like in politically, spiritually, or philosophically motivated art; to make a way of beauty ; to explore the nature of perception; for pleasure; or to get strong emotions.

The oldest documented kinds of art are visual arts, which include images, objects in fields including today’s painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and other visual media. Sculptures, cave paintings, rock paintings and petroglyphs from the Upper Paleolithic dating to roughly 40,000 years ago are found, but the precise meaning of such art is typically argued because so little is known about the cultures that produced them. In 2014, a shell engraved by Homo erectus decided to be between 430,000 and 540,000 years old.

I love art I’ve gone to different museums like the Seattle Art Museum and the Cascadia Art Museum, Bainbridge Island museum of Art I’ve also entered some artworks into my schools art show. I love learning about art history like how art pieces were made or thought of did you know that “Researchers have found markings on eagle talons from a well-known Neandertal site in Croatia that indicate Neandertals harvested the claws and wore them as jewelry.”(Wong, 2015)

My other passion is my love for animals, never in my life have I met someone who loves animals as much as I do. I might not look like a person who loves animals but I truly do. If I go into an animal related career like a veterinarian or a zoologist then I’m going to need to work very hard and focus on my work because zoology is tough. There are different areas I can work in zoology like Ecology and Evolutionary, Epidemiology and disease transmission or animal behavior and neurobiology but I can choose from many more. If my first job is to work in a zoo I need to keep in mind that “Zoos are required to maintain a high standard of animal welfare, and this can be assessed using a combination of resource-based and animal-based indices usually divided into behavioral indicators, physiological indicators and clinical/pathological signs” (Wolfensohn, Shotton, Bowley, Davies and Thompson, 2018).

If I’m going into a veterinary job, I’m probably going to be a vet tech or a veterinary nurse that focuses on anesthesia be use I’m afraid that if a dog, cat or some other animal comes in and is very badly hurt and there is blood then I’m going to panic and freak out so it would be better for me to not be with the hurt animal to long. But even though I told you what I have in mind I still don’t have a clue on what I’m going to decide to be. There are so many options.
