I am currently enrolled at Florida Gulf Coast University but hoping to transfer to Boston College. From my research, I believe Boston College will enable me to pursue opportunities to build on my education goals. As a practicing Catholic, religion is especially important to me, and I know it is a foundation at Boston College. Continuing my research of the Boston College website, I got the sense that there is unique connectivity that stretches across all areas from faculty, administrators, graduates, and alumni. As we live in a diverse society, I embrace this and look forward to exploring and solving today’s challenges: climate change, financial markets, and getting better at loving and respecting our neighbors.
Similarly, I was struck by the collaborative thinking and learning that is taking place at the undergraduate level and in a lecture room or research lab. I want to contribute to the conversations that stem from a community of students who connect their talents, dreams, and ideas to create a better future for the world.
I wish to attend the Carol School of Management because of the innovative blend of courses including Introductory to Law, Modeling for Business Analytics, and Strategic Management. By graduation, I would continue my journey into the business world or graduate within the Carol School of Management. The school offers a dynamic community that is more than just business. Management requires strong leadership and I feel the curriculum will give me the tools to collaborate and lead in business management.
Since finding financial stability is difficult for most, I want to aid those without financial knowledge and resources. As I watched my own family go through financial struggles, I developed an interest in helping others with their struggles. Learning how to use money wisely is my most important goal; it impels me to find solutions and give support to those in need. The academic passion, collaborative community, and Jesuit values are the three reasons why Boston College would be a great fit for me.
