Is the American Dream still possible? Does America offer credentials in order to reach the American Dream. America does still offer the American dream and it is a reachable goal. There are many things that people are given that have gave them the chance to have a fair shot of being successful and having the ideal “American Dream.” There are certainly routes people can take and things they can do to be successful in their lives. For example, every kid is given the option to go to school and get a good grade. If a kid goes to public school his parents don't have to pay tuition, that is free schooling and free education. If the kid takes school seriously the kid has a chance to earn a scholarship and continue his or her schooling at a university.
The American dream is more accessible than it is not accessible. The population of the United States is almost guaranteed that you can get some sort of education at a public school. They even have private schools if your family is financially stable and can pay for the tuition, so you can get the private education. The private schools provide programs that can help people with applying for scholarships and applying to be accepted into colleges. If your fortunate enough to go to a private school then there's a chance you're financially stable, but there are certain situations where you might need some help. This is one of the many ways you can achieve a shot at achieving the American Dream.
There are some situations where it is much harder for someone to achieve the American dream. It can nearly be impossible for people to reach the American Dream if they are from other countries or if they don't have papers. Many people are immigrants from Mexico and other places and they do not have the right papers and documentation to receive financial and scholarship help. Some programs such as FAFSA provides students with financial help for college, but some kids without documentation cannot receive the money like a kid from the United States who has all his documentation.
Just like the passage we read about the man in the fields who picks the food for the markets. He is describing the life you have to live in order to make some type of money to support yourself and buy very little things to support your family. The back-breaking work and the very long hours for very little pay. He is describing how most of the people in the fields were immigrants who don't have papers. He also described that most of the people only spoke Spanish and had no way of defending themselves since they were not able to speak English to communicate with people. This is one example of how the American Dream would seemingly be impossible to get and achieve. The little pay and lack of understanding and not knowing the language of the land would make it extremely difficult for a person to try and find a better-paying job.
In The Declaration of Independence, it states that all men are created equal. This is one of the most famous lines out of the writing. One of the most popular things in people's version of the American Dream is freedom. The United States has a lot to do with being a free nation. The people of the United States are free to say what they want, eat what they want, go where they want, and worship any religion. There is so much more but these are one of the most common forms of freedom. This is another way America offers forms of the American Dream.
In conclusion, the American Dream is still more accessible than impossible to reach. There are several things people can do to reach the dream. It just takes some determination. It may be tough at times and tough for certain people but if there is a will, then there's away. People have to have to have the right mindset and determination in order to push through the hard times they experience on the path of getting their version of the American Dream. The American Dream is different for every person so it varies in requirements and things you must do to make your dream a possibility.
