The animals on the list of endangered species exist because their land/area they use to live has been destroyed or the animals have been hunted/poached.The loss of habitat creates the biggest threat to nature. As they are depleted for human use and cleared to make room for farms, houses, highways, pipelines and other hallmarks of industrialization, the world's forests, swamps, fields, lakes, and other ecosystems begin to vanish. Habitat loss is maybe the biggest threat to the diversity of life on this planet today. With a stellar success rate, the US Endangered Species Act (ESA) is our nation most successful legislation to protect at-risk species from extinction: 99 percent of the species listed on it have prevented extinction. The ESA also promotes the protection outside the US of listed species and is the statute by the US adoption of the Convention on Free Trade in Endangered Species. We are already losing millions of species every year, and they are suffering because of us, so we need to start helping them. If we don't start helping are endangered species, like the ESA does, then us as a human race will suffer.
We must protect endangered species because extinction has multiple implications for our food, water, environment and even health. A decline in seed and fruit production could result in the loss of pollinators, contributing ultimately to the extinction of many important plants. In the U.S. for the last 20 years. Most wildflowers have decreased 90% for monarch butterflies with pollinate. The forest and the trees have decreased a lot because the birds in certain areas are gone therefore birds are not there to help remove spiders and other insects that are needed and those areas are being destroyed. atched bumble bee, In the first bee species to be listed on the endangered list, another major pollinator now occupies just 1 percent of its previous range..The primary cause of habitat destruction is habitat destruction through human activity. Humans do this through some mining and logging. When humans do this we disrupt the areas where animals live ruining what the animals were put there to do in the first place. Protecting endangered species is important because extinction has multiple implications for our food, water, environment and even health.
Extinction is a natural process which evolution often accompanies. We need extinction because without it then their is a chance that we would have too many animals on the plant and it could counter the human race. Animal extinction is a good reason to protect the animals so we can protect our health, food, water, environment.
In regards to animal extinction, my stand on it is that we need to do our best to protect the animals on our planet. Reasons to protect the animals are to protect our health, food, water, environment. Continued research and development for the US Endangered Species Act (ESA) is important so that we can stay on top of science.
