Do you believe that God loves you even though you have done some bad things in your life? In the Gospel I was assigned to read, Luke, it states many times God loves you no matter what you have done. Luke’s Gospel is in the New Testament. We were told to read this, and it spoke many words to me. I would one hundred percent recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good inspirational read. In Luke's Gospel, it tells many stories about Jesus’ ascension, resurrection, death, birth, and his origins. Some of the main events that happen are, the angel Gabriel coming down and telling Mary about Jesus. It also tells about Mary's journey to visit Elizabeth.
“Forty days in the desert. ” Jesus picks out his twelve disciples on the mountain. Jesus raises a girl from the dead, Jesus tells lots of story’s, he also teaches the people to pray the “Our Father. ” The main character in this story is Jesus. He did have a few problems in the story here and there. But the story mainly talked about Jesus’ teachings and him spreading his message with others. I can really relate to some of this story in many ways. For example, in Luke 6: 27- 2. It states, “But to you who hear I say, love your enemy but do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. ” I can relate to this verse in many ways. For me I have struggled with loving someone who has done something horrible to me. I have learned to work through it and love them no matter what. This verse helps to remind me that even your worst enemy needs prayers and you can give them that. If you are mad and even hate them, love them and pray for them. To the person who hates you, do good to them and do a good deed for them.
Another verse I can relate to is Luke 6: 37-38. “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. ” To me this quote is saying that dont judge others no matter what. If you don’t do it then nothing will happen to you. And if someone forgives you then you will also be forgiven. In my opinion I personally liked this book. It early informed me on more of Jesus’ life that I had not known before. He did a really good job explaining that fact that Jesus helped everyone. And he emphasized that Jesus had a forgiving nature. And I really liked his writing style. I personally would recommend this book to others. I think anyone would benefit from reading this. It gives more insight of Jesus and the way he helps others. And the way that there are messages throughout the story makes me want to keep reading. I think that makes others want to keep reading it also.
Overall this is a good book to read and I would recommend for others to read it. It shows more and more as you read it that god loves you and Jesus loves you too. It spoke many words to me and I would definitely read it again.
