The internet has been becoming more accessible in better quality to citizens recently due to mainly business purposes. Thus, it is unnecessary to prioritize internet improvement so far. On the other hand, most of public transportation still lacks in wide areas globally. The lack of transportation can cause problems in society in countless ways. This is clear to me that it is more important and urgent for governments to take action on enhancing public transportation relatively to improve internet access.

First of all, when the government spends money on public transportation, this can reduce the proportion of polluted air and leave more parking spaces. The more private cars are available, the more parking areas are required. For instance, looking back when I lived in Thailand years ago, there was a policy for the election of the so-called first car. This policy has gradually affected the country to gain more toxic pollutions. It turned out to be a big failure. The traffic is too crowded. Even though widely extensive transportation can pollute air sometimes, its change from private cars to public transportation can cut back in a tremendous amount of toxic pollution and allow more rooms for parking areas. For this reason, it is not convinced me to consider that the government should rather incentivize population to buy a new first car, but instead, they should provide more budget for extending public transportation.Another inevitable reason is that supporting financials to society on transportation can definitely decrease the number of accidents. When the car owner drives himself or herself, it is more likely to get into the accidents. This is because, for example, there are more complexities on the road from each car owner’s decisions than public transport drivers’. If the government authorizes an expensive tag and parking fee of car ownership, it would discourage individuals from buying own private cars. Although, the single disaster of public transportation can harm people’s lives more widely, the common statistics of accidents has been reported more frequently from private

If the government authorizes an expensive tag and parking fee of car ownership, it would discourage individuals from buying own private cars. Although, the single disaster of public transportation can harm people’s lives more widely, the common statistics of accidents has been reported more frequently from private rides than the public’s ones. This is why it is essential for government to play a big role on removing accidents by paying more money on public transportation agenda.

In summary, it is urgent for government to advocate public transportation than support internet access. Toxic pollution and transport accidents are the main reasons the government should primarily concern. I strongly believe that people’s needs are more genuinely important than its convenience.
