I spent some hours on my professional portfolio ensuring competence and accuracy. I think the portfolio presents a new phase presentation to nursing portfolios that can truly enhance a nurse’s performance. Other activities in the nursing practicum course included an assessment of the students learning environment and changes that led to the development of these objectives. These projects obligated students to reflect on past assignments in the Baccalaureate program that have culminated in their knowledge experiences during the program.
The nursing practicum course demonstrates students how previous courses and assignments have assisted them to grow into a professional nurse skilled in leadership roles. I was able to display leadership and flexibility throughout my relationship-based care project. I believe this assignment taught me the value of competence and self-confidence in providing sincere patient-centered care. I cultured about evidence-based practice through making a PICOT inquiry and carrying out a literature review on palliative care and anxiety. I believe exploration helped me to see the importance of scholarly evidence-based practice and how it can be useful to nursing interventions, not just medical difficulties. Nursing informatics was an imperative area in the bachelor’s program because it is so often used in research. I believe the examinations helped extract the information and beliefs I gained on the subjects. I displayed teamwork and patient outcome relationship by contributing to clinical activities and discussions with peers about the great effect nurses have on the area. I was able to participate in community health by volunteering in the community and creating a community-needed educational project about the risk of non-breastfeeding, cancer, and stroke during the bachelor’s program.
