My Goal to Pursue a Career in Computer Science and Engineering

My love for computers grew when the 12 year old me who was gifted a desktop computer got the chance to assemble the computer and bring it to a working state. I remember the pure joy that brought me and how fascinated i was with all that the machine offered. The amalgamation of computer science and technology gives birth to new tools, new ways to deal with the data which in turn benefits the well-being and advancement of the society. The epiphany that technology is involved in every aspect of our lives and is constantly shaping our world is what propelled me to get into the field of computer science.

To upskill myself, I pursued my undergraduate studies in Bachelors Of Technology (Computer Science and engineering) from Maharshi Dayanand University and with the help of really supportive and knowledgeable mentors i was able to complete my undergraduate degree with first class division. During the span of the program I took various certification courses in C++,Java(core and advanced) and Android from Aptech Computer Education which gave me an in-depth knowledge of how to think and execute each process in a way which is logical to both humans and the machine and how to put all of it into an application. In the last semester, I gained hands-on experience during my 6 months internship at Defense Research Development Organization, New Delhi where i worked on the project Data Protection Scheme Of Electronic Navigational Charts thereby creating an application that allowed selective access and authentication of ENC information which was achieved by encrypting it. This internship provided me with an opportunity to turn my knowledge into industrial work.

As technology is rapidly growing and the technology driven market is expanding and becoming competitive, it has become more and more important to be at par with the advancements. Technology has helped revolutionize the business world, and I am keen to learn how to use my technical knowledge and apply computer tools to analyze the trends in business model and overcome the challenges faced by it. Masters in Business information systems will help me gain the skills required to become an expertise in my field of interest.

What drives me is the target objectives that I have set for my life. Five to ten years down the lane I see myself as an expert in my field having gained a lot of experience, but also equally passionate to keep learning and reinventing myself. I see myself working in a leading multinational company in a managerial position, being the team leader, planning and executing the ideas for the betterment of the company.

The postgraduate program at a Monash University is a best fit for me as it does not only touch upon the basic programming language concepts but also has subjects like database technology and IT information management which will provide me with the specialist skills required to handle the information problems in business focused IT areas with utmost efficiency. Along with the course units I will be also be provided with advanced practice through research projects or industrial experience which will help me deepen understanding of my topic. Moreover, studying at one of the leading Australian universities with erudite professors and world class facilities will help me climb the ladder of success.

With my positive attitude, zeal to succeed and confidence I will definitely put all the efforts to make the most of this opportunity all the while abiding by the rules and regulations of both the university as well as the country. Besides academics, it will contribute to the all-round development of me as an individual by providing me with global exposure and a chance to study with students from all over the world, thereby improving my teamwork skills. I am certain that this program will help me achieve my career aspirations.
