I want to express my love and appreciation for Honorable Maya Angelou. If I have to describe her in a sentence I would only say "What a woman"????A true inspiration hands down all the way.
We humans, as a species, have come a long way. On the basis of wisdom curated from millennia-old life experience, we know that defeats, disappointments, and failures (whatever we may choose to call them) are inevitable. We can 't deny the fact nor we can refrain from it. It is a universal truth and we have to face it no matter how hard we wish or try to abstain from it. Now if we take a moment to internalize the fact that we are going to face defeat or disappointment in whatever we chose to en devour, the question that instantly appears in our mind is that what can we do about it?
The answer to this question, if you ask me, is quite simple--- suck it up, face it rather embrace it. Only if we knew better then we would realize that our mistakes are truly a blessing in disguise. They provide us with an important insight into our weaknesses, shortcomings or mistakes and we cannot improve ourselves unless we are aware of their existence. So, they are blessing in a way. The sole dilemma with defeat is that it impairs our morale --- our very ability to resist and fight back.In order to tackle this challenging problem all we need to do is hold our feet firm to the ground. I know its easier said then done but just bear one thing in your mind, "Doubt anything but never your ability to rise above your defeat". It 's standing gracefully in the wreckage and dust of your defeat you can truly understand your true self-worth. Keep reminding yourself, "this too shall pass and I am way better than this" and trust me you sure are!! Defeat is not the worst of the failures. Not to have tried is the true failure.---- George E. Woodberry.
The most successful people, we have known in the history, are those who have tasted the bitterness of losses, faced defeats, bore disappointments, known struggles but also found the way out of it. These people have an appreciation, a sensitivity and an understanding of life and themselves that fills their minds and souls with perseverance, commitment and a deep sense of being. Success doesn't just happen to people, they have to strive hard for it.
