In each of the product, 70 % of element in consumer product is represent by mould manufacturing. It is essential in all industry [4]. The obstacle in mould manufacturing are the increase of request for great dimensionality, expeditious changes of the design , smaller construction and production lead time [34]. This process is difficult that enforced mould maker that has skill and qualification [4]. Today, injection moulding is one of the crucial processing procedure of polymer in industry of plastic[35]. It is highly favored process in industry of manufacturing due to its availability to generate intricate-shape plastic part with high accuracy of dimension and shorter cycle times [36].
For example is the products of housing and casing like machine parts such as laptop that have complicated shape. These products likely to become more complicated, thinner or smaller due to increase of the technology that tend to produce product that more powerful but in smaller or agile. So, the component in the product must be arranged into housing that has smaller size. So, in order to pack it the component in a small area of the housing part, the wall thickness can be diminish. Yet, the difficulty of injection moulding process increases as the narrow of the wall thickness of plastic part [37]. The serious warpage defect has highly possibility appeared during this process. This problem required testing procedure for the factor that cause the serious defect.
TAGUCHI METHOD Throughout this year, various of method for optimization of the process in manufacture were develop and applied such as build-test-fix, one factor at a time and design of experiment. Between three of the method, the method that broadly used for development of product is Design of experiment (DOE). DOE is a statistical method that use in analyze process that complex and contain various of variable process using few trials. DOE can be divided into two, full factorial design and Taguchi method. Dr Genichi Taguchi has developed a method to identify the best combination that used during the process in the manufacturing [9]. Taguchi method is a very effective tool that used to design and improve the high-quality system. Industries able to decrease huge amount of time for the development of the product without adding any costs by applying this method [12]. Figure below is illustrated for a better understanding on Taguchi method.
