As a teen, love is confusing but in this essay about teenage love we will mention that it is both a beautiful thing that can be an enjoyable and the painful one. Us, teenagers by this time we are testing the depth of our emotions, we are testing how comfortable we are to each other but some people says, that teenage love is meaningless. Young love is pure and innocent but true love is eternal and to be in love means something different.

Ambiguous Nature of Teenage Love and Dating Experience

There goes a saying, “To be old and wise, first, you must be young and stupid.” Yes, true love really happens at teenage, maybe not with all but with the most of us. As the world exists only with love, try to think of it, if there had been no love, no feelings between people, we would have killed each other and thus have killed human existence. Therefore I believe that people could fall in love at any age and it doesn’t really matter. In addition, a British dating site has surveyed 1000 random people to find out when they actually fell in love for the first time, and it turns out that for most people it happens when they quite young with 55% of it saying they first fell in love between the ages of 15 and 18.  “A teen being in love or infatuated with someone is normal. I think the problem is confusing love with something else about the idea of being in a relationship.

Teenagers just really like somebody, find they’re fun with, enjoy their company and think it’s love. Loving another person isn’t a passive act, it needs constant effort and I believe that teenage love is the first step to develop normal healthy relationships in the future. Sometimes, you must know how to deal with love because it softens you. But even if you love someone and if you don’t know how to deal with it, it’ll turn to violence” - Katie.

The positive effects of being in a relationship is that it leads the teenagers more matured and have a better understanding of adult relationships. Getting in this romantic relationships in early stages allows the teens to discover what they want and need. Due to dating, teens have a better understanding of how affection truly is. Thus it has also a negative side that can be a threat to the teenagers, most teenagers lack the proper knowledge of balancing friendship and dating causing it’s friends to grow apart. This happens due to insufficiency of experience of what relationships are. One of the problem in facing the teenage dating nowadays was involving sex, drugs, alcohol, peer influence and failure of parents to take their children away from unfavorable activities.

If you think teenage love is that real, try knowing the consequences of it. Teens are more pressured to do things that they may want to. Many times they may feel pressured to do something because their partner wants them to do it or because everyone else is doing it. Being committed to a relationship and not being careful about it can lead to many things such as early pregnancy. When teens starts getting into relationships, they would forget their education and both would be really focused on doing stuff together because that’s what they think is the dominant. Just a thought, often times I’ve seen teens more respectful, loving and caring of each other than a lot of adults couples. Some couples stay together if the love they feel for each other is big and real.

Conclusion

Teenage dating is all about feeling while adult dating is all about trust. There’s nothing wrong with dating, it’s just like experimenting. But remember, we change, we grow up, we fall in love, we get hurt. That’s normal. We’re just a teenager. Still learning.
