I have a bad fin”, replies Nemo, quitting. “It never stopped me, just think about what you have to do”, encourages Gill. This quotes indicates that Gill believes that nothing can stop you to be successful, which is why he motivates Nemo to be resilient. The examples of this are when Marlin has lost the goggles that had the address to find his son Nemo, Dory sings “When life gets you down do you wanna know what you've gotta do? Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming”. She sings this quote multiple times in the film when going through challenges. This reveals that Dory never gives up on trying to uplift everyone and encourage him or her to keep going so that no one is pessimistic or quits. She has found a solution that when life gets you down, ‘to just keep swimming’, which represents that no matter what, Dory never gives up on swimming through and being triumphant. Through the numerous obstacles they face, Dory never gives up on being optimistic and encouraging others to stay optimistic when finding Nemo.

Throughout the film, Dory and Marlin show resilience by being courageous and tenacious when facing obstacles through their journey to find Nemo. An example of this is when they were struggling to find their way to Sydney Harbour in the deep, intense ocean. Dory asks Marlin, “you wanna get out of here?”, “Yes”, replies Marlin. “How we gonna do that unless we give it a shot”, suggested Dory. This quotes demonstrate that even though they were in the extreme dark water and unaware of how to get through, they never gave up and lost their ambition to find Nemo. Overall, when facing hopeless situations, they had the spirit to never give up, which made them resilient when going through numerous challenges.
