It is socially viewed that people tend to follow their righteous beliefs based on what they believe to be true. Beliefs sometimes contain common occurrences of fallacies, and ancestries are bloodlines that people tend to use to reason for their actions. “It’s in my blood, ” is a common saying, which in contrast, the conception truthfully falsified. The reality is that our ancestors are far less aware of situations and reality of current society. Smith is factual in his perspective that actions based on ancestry is just another form of absurd and mischievous fallacy because bloodlines do not determine social correctness. It is generalized among some acceptances, that our ancestors are extensively wiser and credible than the current generation. We tend to believe that our ancestors were aware of their actions and their thoughts that beheld their activities. Time changes along with society, so different social acceptances and values are developed as generations stray further from origins and diversify from each other.

Ludicrous archetypes of differentially accepted values are the modernized hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan or Neo-Nazis. These racial hate groups show that some communities have strong beliefs in their ancestral blood and consider their actions as a continuation of a beneficial past. Hate groups are an example of outlandish fallacies due today’s society being more diverse and racially acceptable. In olden realities, some of our ancestry proved to be cruel against racial groups. Using ancestry in the current issue proves that relying upon what our bloodline used to follow is unjust to cruelty in action. Believing and trusting what the generations predating us performed contributes to the fortification of fallacies.

Neo-Nazism and the KKK proves that even the origin bloodline was unacceptable to start with. In a matter of fact, we are technically wiser than the generations before due to us learning from the mistakes of the past and the wrong actions of our ancestors. Not all of ancestry is built on pure wisdom; it is solely conceptions of the past and is a continuation to further generations. Considering that our ancestors can be mistaken even in their generations, it is unreasonable to follow in the trail of bloodlines. Our ancestors know less than the current generation, so why is a reality among some people to follow the absurd fallacy of ancient blood. The youth of generations tend to apprehend and educate themselves on current social beliefs and acceptances in society. Independency drives us further away from the older generations, which is beneficial because it develops maturity and freedom from the anchor of other’s beliefs.

In the novel, “To Kill a Mockingbird, ” by Harper Lee, society visualizes African-Americans as sub-humans. The infamous era (Civil Rights Era) and the populace present follow beliefs an ancestry to dislike African-Americans immensely; the innocent protagonist(s) are observed to follow their own standards and build their character differently to those around them. The fallacy of justifying actions through ancestry is avoidable simply through independence of thought. Independency of thoughts leads to enhanced maturity and frees the mind of corruption of the belief of predecessors. Evidently, thoughts developed by one self rather than what the bloodline shows wiser evolution than basing belief on the corrupted opinions of our ancestors. Virtue and pure sense should be evading the “wisdom” of the past, because in conclusion society changes through time and generations, and what is considered wise then may be intensely differential in the modernizing generations. Although there is some correctness in the beliefs of our ancestors, most of past thoughts are invalidated. Ancestry does contain some correction in beliefs that may be considered social acceptable like the age-old phrase, “Respect your elders. ” However, it is better to improvise thoughts to develop around the changing society, generations, and values. Time changes and so sticking to the past is not entirely beneficial. The construct of values is a complicated concept and people tend to stick to familiarities, which can lead to situational error. The fallacies of belief of ancestry just develops mainly discords among social values. Ancestors are anchored to their beliefs in the past; therefore, it is better to develop new ideals based on the ever-so changing world. Wisdom changes through time and newer generations have to adapt to changes.

Newer and future generations have the opportunity that past bloodline members have not had, the opportunity to right the wrongs of previous generations and not make the same societal errors. Fallacy in belief leads to discord and mischievous actions that can simply be avoid if one just had independence of thought and morals. Acceptances in reality change through time; the strong-willed will adapt and become misaligned from the tract of blood.
