Feudalism

Feudalism started began time ago, William the conqueror started it in europe in 1086. Basically the king gives land to us, we give it to the knights, the knights give protection to the peasants, the peasants give back food and services, we get protection and military, then the king gets knights and money. Because of feudalism is in place we the nobles are at the top, so we able to live pretty nice. My routine today like most other days consists me getting up early around dawn, going to mass, eating breakfast, lunch and prayers, dinner, hunting, and then prayers before bed. Throughout the day we would have meeting for any political stuff, business, or disagreements. Sometimes after dinner we could some entertainment sometimes jugglers, or like today we had a jester. So I have a good life because feudalism.

Crusades

Pope urban ll announced the first crusade in 1095 in the council of clermont, he said we need to recapture jerusalem the holy land. Me being a very religious christian I knew I wanted to go, so I did. The journey there was hard some went through the desert but I went on a boat, there was barely any food or water some died because of it, being a noble I was able to get a little more food and water than the rest. On the boat there was also a lot of deadly storms, other ships were wrecked because of them. We were finally able to get to the holy land.

It's after the battle we won we were able to recapture jerusalem. I was happy to be on my way back home, go back to normal life. The pope promised we would be free of sin if we helped, so it feels good to recapture the holy land and be free of sin.The black death9/26/1347 The plague started a couple of weeks ago, and nobody knows what is happening. People are blaming it on the spoiled food, contaminated water, the lower class, and some think its god punishing us.

I personally think it's the dirty lower class that caused all of this horrible stuff. It's terrible what is happening, today I saw a women with these ring like spots that were red with black marks all over them, it's disgusting i've also heard of people getting huge black boils on them. It's all awful i've been staying in my house as much as possible, I think I might leave somewhere away from everyone, I don't want leave my family but I also don't want to get sick, I don't know what I should do.11/3/1347

I was finally able to get out of England I was able to find a small place away from everyone. I thought I wouldn’t be able to get sick I was safe from the black death, but I think i'm getting sick i'm starting to get the red rings all over. I feel bad for leaving my friends and family, I was just trying to stay alive, I was hoping to go back if or when this all over, but I won't be able now. A noble and a peasant are in very different classes, and because of that they experienced the black death very differently. Some nobles died but because of they were in a higher class they could stay away from the plague. than the peasants being at the bottom were most exposed to the disease and so most of them died. After the black death most peasants were dead so the nobles were left with no workers.

These are two very different experiences all because of their social classes The nobles during feudalism were able to live a pretty nice life because they were at the top of the classes, then the peasants that were at the bottom got to do nothing. The peasants were basically slaves during feudalism they worked slept and did that everyday, they got to do pretty much nothing. The nobles were able to do others than work, which made for a lot better life.
