The reason of visiting Italy had no connection to art at all. Müller was just travelling for curiosity in other places except his home town in Austria. However, as Müller looks around the street of Rome, he sees a poster announcing of Futurist sereta event, The Grande Sereta, held at Teatro Constanza, Rome, 9th of March 1913. The event is divided into three sections: the in the sereta there will be a Futurist symphony, a reading of Futurist poetry, and a presentation of Futurist painting and sculpture. The part so unique about The Grande Sereta, is that the use of alternative space is offered in exhibition: unlike a meditation of show works, the artist will be in control and able to directly show to the audiences.
The engagement of the Futurist with the audiences were extremely engaging, Müller was amazed by the edge-cutting way of having the viewers involved into the works, unlike regular exhibitions he has seen before. Futurists aims cultural and political goals of overthrowing the middle-class and promote a fascistic, industrialized nationalism. Promoting war, violence and development of mechanism to bring back Italy was once was (powerful country), through publicizing performance, manifestoes and noise performances that stimulates anger and spread anarchy, at times resulting into fights and arrests.
The reality of war started to hit on the Futurists, even though fascinated by the anarchistic, fascistic thinking of the Futurists, Müller have gained a mission to study other certain movements, catching an interest in Dadaism. That is opposite to the Futurism, where the international movement promotes ideology of revolting against World War 1, seeking to destroy old values. Dadaist saw the World War 1 as irrational, and apply humor in to the result of creating the expressions of sarcasm in contemporary art.
In Early 1917, a fellow artist has persuaded Müller to go to Russia, to try and experience on the Futurism that is spread to Russia by Marinetti who have lectured there twice.
