The Great Gatsby is one of the key novels that depicts the struggle for freedom and identity with the enormous challenges in society. It is a novel that was written in 1925 by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald. The story follows a series of characters who are living in a fictional town of West Egg and East Egg. It is a story that touches on the say to day activities of these people and accrues some critical thematic experiences that make the same book interesting and captivating. Due to the inert role and the value of the book written almost a century ago, the book was adopted to be a movie of the same name in 2011. The same movie and the book carries some critical similarities and there are a number of differences that can be associated with the same.

The character creation that the book has put in place is based on various key issues that are depicted and which are created in the movie. The characters that the story, as put in place as created by the author, are also the authors that the movie has put in place. This creates binding coordination and character creation that meets the needs of the author. This is one of the major points that create a similar and critical acclamation that connects the author’s work and the creators of the movie. The same depiction help in creating a binding unison between the movie and the book.

The thematic representation that the book carry is also similar to the same issues that the movie carries. Various themes that can be created in the book provide some key and crucial information that puts both the book and the movie at a similar thematic representation. The themes analysis in this case, are the key issues that define how the movie is created and also the key issues that touch on the book development and movie creation. Themes such as betrayal, friendship, love and affection that are contained in the book are also depicted in the movie.

On the other hand, there are some differences that are associated with the same story by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald and the movie that is created by Baz Luhrmann and stars Leonardo DiCaprio. In the book, the character traits of Tom Buchanan are quite different from the character traits and the character creation of the same character in the movie. Tom Buchanan in the book is created as a good character who wants things done on the right and the valuable way. However, Tom Buchanan in the movie is shown as a villain. Tom is created as a bad guy who is turned to be a villain and the many activities that he dies show him as the bad guy in the movie. The character creation and characterization of Tom Buchanan are turned from an unlikable guy into a ruthless villain who seems lazy and too cheap of behavior for the character.

The work that is created by F. Scott Fitzgerald takes us back in time. The time that is seen and depicted in the book shows that the book is written back in time, and it takes us back to the past. Tying the book to the past provides that the time and the events that take place in the book were created and drawn to the past. However, in the movie, the same issues and developments in the movie show that the developments and the issues that are created are happening in the present. This is seen with the loud rap music, the movies and other developments that make the movie instrumental and appropriate in meeting and creating the necessary elements in the book. All these features make the book and the movie indispensable in creating a unified system of book and movie differences. The same use of technology and modern times in the movie are what show and highlight the key differences and which makes the movie more modernized.
