Has a person ever been asked a question that someone does not know or just was wondering something in their head? What was their first action to figure out the answer to it? Technology in today’s time has come such as far away from newspapers and radios to computers and cellular devices that let the world search for just about anything in the world. The range of technologies developments have changed so drastically over the years and have impacted society in ways that is discrete as well as obvious. Technology has changed the dependence level of the people from regular appliances such as radios and newspapers to a low rate and increased the demand and wants for electronic devices such as cell phones and televisions.

The impact of technology of the culture has hit hard with popular smartphones with the ability to search the web at high speeds which cuts the time of searching for answers in a newspaper decreasing by a large amount of time. The phones and computers with the ability to search the web at high speeds have altered the way people search and solve answers nowadays. The first step a person will make when someone asks them something they don’t know they would say either “search for it on the internet, on their cell phones or their computer. The impact that cell phones have made is great due to the ability to be able to carry it around a person at all times and to be able to search the web without having to be connected to a wireless internet connection. The service that is placed on the phone through a tiny chip gives the phone full fledge ability to surf the web, to complete phone calls whether local or long distance and navigate through GPS.

Radios and Newspapers are how much important information was distributed to the public eye going through the years, but the way technology has advanced, it has allowed radios to be built into cellular devices. The ability to access daily news from newspaper apps or on the internet and being able to hear live news from radio stations from a device cuts down the demand for those appliances. When a national warning for weather gets sent out it hits a cell phone through alerts faster than it hits your television screen. The ability for cell phones now to be able to tell the weather at leisure and give precise information alters someone’s needs and wants to listen to an actual radio to hear these things. Giving directions was much of a job that maps were used for, but the ability to have a GPS built into a person’s phone but also an actual GPS device that gives exact directions slowed down the wants and use of maps.

Technology has changed the single person’s attention span for reading a newspaper vs. reading an article on a laptop screen or even a cell phone screen. The impact on technology and its supply and demand strikes at the heart of the public and that is with people ranging in ages 15-18. The wants a teenager has such hot appliances such as phones and computers is the biggest distributors and when the parents buy them then the parents get interested in them. The supply and demand of today’s technology is much a trickle effect from the children to the parents in the world which is by purchasing the device and the ability intrigues the next person. The children in the world use the devices for anything from music, surfing the web, and connecting with friends. The parents use the devices for the same things but mostly for work-related aspects, GPS and keeping up with public news in the world.
