The Importance of Academic Honor Code and Integrity

The famous quote of Joe Paterno explains my concept of writing this essay. As a first step in my Master's at Valparaiso University, I would love to share an essay explaining the importance of Academic Honor and Integrity. My essay will have 3 body paragraphs about Writing academic test with Integrityand proper Preparation, Submitting assignments with Originality and Authencity and Honesty in Learning process.

Academic tests play a major role in evaluating ones understanding and knowledge they have acquired over a particular semester for a subject. Proper preparation before the tests and clearing the subject doubts will help in scoring good grades in academic tests. I personally believe that Writing the exams with Intergrity will help an student to know his actual position and level of understanding in the subject. This creates a pathway to improve their subject knowledge by alloting more time and work in the particular course.

Assignments contribute to a great deal for reasearch of information which is not available in the course, However additionally can be learned through self learning from the sources of internet. Assignments which invole coding and Communication, Language development assignments are a great way of learning the course in it's depth. Copying from internet or sharing other students work will only decrease your interest and knowledge towards course. This is one of the types of Plagarism which is noted. Submitting your own Original and Authentic work is the best honor policy for succeeding in academics.

If you are not honest with others, you might loose something. However, If you are not honest with yourself, you loose everything. Honor and Integrity should be maintainined throughout the Learning process in any stage of One's life. In the current stage as a student, I want to maintain the code of honor throughout my academics. One need to have clear knowledge over courses, Clear your doubts from professors, Working hard in learning the programming and creating a good learning environment is what creates a great command over my curriculum.

To summarize the above essay and highlighting the key points will be the conclusion for my essay. The key points I shared above are Writing academic test with Integrityand proper Preparation, Submitting assignments with Originality and Authencity and Honesty in Learning process. These key points highlights the importance of maintaining all the required qualities to build a Strong Honor and Integrity code for myself through out my Master's.

Person without Honor, Learning without Honesty and Giving tests with Integrity is like filling a mud pot with a hole downside with the water. I would strictly follow these Honor codes and I would also suggest my classmates and friends to have such Honor codes in Academica and in their Life.
