Introduction

In football history, various players have become victims of permanent injury. Most of such players have found it completely hard to cope with their new physical condition. In addition to their physical injury, they have also been affected psychologically. Different measures have been put in place to try and seek alternative support to ensure that the injured have been helped in due course. Mental, as well as physical support, is an essential component in the healing process of the injured. Education is one of the essential healing processes that should never be neglected. The injured always require proper education that will see them through the healing process. This study seeks to outline the various reasons how permanently injured soccer players can be helped by their various clubs to obtain appropriate educations.

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

Injuries among the player are part of the life since it cannot be predicted when it happened while the players are participating in the competition (Junge et al. 556). However, the number of cases of injuries among the footballers seem not decreasing in most of the countries which take soccer as their professional careers. This is in spite the fact that top-level teams have ended up embedding sports medicine as well as the scientific provision of their programs in different clubs which host soccer players. Some of the major injuries which soccer players experienced while they are playing include hamstring muscle strains as well as knee ligament ruptures. These two type of injuries seem to be rising among the footballers.

However, most of the clubs nowadays have put in place measures and policies to mitigate the risks which might occur while the football players are participating in the football games. Some of those policies include: owners of the club required that before the player is permitted to the club, then the players or parents in case of minor ones are supposed to sign a release form which would, therefore, indemnify the owner of the club from expenses or liabilities.

The clubs should offer financial assistance to the players in term of packages. These funds would help them financed medical bills, their family demands. These funds can invest in different available opportunities which generate revenues and therefore used in improving their living standard of their families (Junge et al. 556). These players should be given social assistance like counselling by nutritionists, medical staffs from the club’s department. This kind of aid enables them to think positive in life since they cannot be in a position to move on with their profession due to injuries they suffered. The clubs should ensure that the surrounding where these permanently injured players should suit their conditions after they had suffered. For instance, the topography of the place of residence should be flat, and also their home of the resident should not be too stiff and with a lot of stairs.

In all parts of the world, soccer is the professional career for the soccer players. They are therefore inevitable for them to sustain their injuries despite the seriousness of it to retain their career. Injuries subjected to the soccer players are described as the setback of their performance while they are playing. Their performance of the players will not only reduce, but their salary will also be cut or lessen. Unfortunately, every player will face the same situation despite the time he or she has been playing to the club. When a player is confronted with a career-ending injury, he or she is at risk of losing the career. A career-ending injury is described in other words as a permanent injury. For the player to acquire education or be ready to be educated by the club whenever he or she is subjected to a permanent injury, the club should not threaten the player of losing the career but should give more time so that the player is given time for the psychological recovery. In the euroland leagues, most players are not aware of the risk of getting permanently injured in the day’s activities. Whenever a player is confronted with an injury, he or she will just think of recovery (Cantu 2015).

The club is the responsible body that should educate the players to avoid the risky moves that may lead to a permanent injury. A player who has already been confronted with a permanent injury will have to receive special education in the club from the experts employed by the club. In this case, the education being channeled to the soccer player should be specific and are directly emphasizing on how the injury should not reduce the performance of the player as well as does not worsen. In this case, every club should have a policy that describes the rights and the obligations of the soccer players whenever they are confronted with injuries. The method that the club should employ on teaching players having permanent injuries should comply with the principles of the club, and its goal is to make the player once again efficient to the club. Assigning the player with his or her teacher will help so much since the player psychology problem is easy to identify and be rectified before it becomes more serious than before (Junge 655).

A player who has been permanently injured should be aware of the law of the country where the club is situated; he should also be provided with the best advice by the expert from the club such that the injury does not proceed to the worst situation. A permanently injured player should be aware of the insurance market; this should be thought of the club the player is coming from. In teaching on the insurance market, the club should also emphasize on how the insurance will work concerning on the permanent injury he or she is facing. For the club to provide efficient education to players who are subjected to permanent injuries, their principles of their leagues should be arranged in such a way that the injured player is favored and does not affects his or her permanently injured body part (Campbell 264).

The age of the player and the experience over the time he has been playing is the determining factor on which kind of education the player deserves to be provided with. In the provision of education therefore to the permanently injured players, clubs should consider the age and the time the player has been playing to the club. These are the factors that can enable the club expert to provide them with the appropriate education over the injuries. The protection against more severe injuries will be made possible by the club by employing coaches who are educated with a high level of coaching skills.

The weather plays a vital role in preventing injuries among soccer players. These players undergo hard times, and sometimes the damage can worsen to the extent of one being disabled. But meanwhile observing certain weather requirements helps prevent the injury significantly. Hence the players, parents or guardians, as well as coaches, should be informed about weather situations that are likely to worsen the injury. For instance, cold and hot weather conditions require specific preventive measures. When the weather is hot and humid, the concerned players should have water or hydrating solutions constituting the electrolytes and carbohydrates. This is to ensure that dehydration does not take place. The coaches managing various clubs should ensure the facilities such as arenas provide entry to hydrating solutions. The injured players should not dare to participate in activities such as fishing and skiing and possess the danger of hypothermia or frostbite.

Cold water fishing is very dangerous recreational exercise. An according to research conducted, it was discovered that hypothermia and subsequent drowning led to death among many observed participants. Therefore, warm clothing should be made a mandatory. The clothes should be worn in layers to assist in insulating the body. Preparations for weather conditions can minimize the injury. The concerned players should be aware of specific metal items, for instance, the bicycles; shoes with metal in cleats are dangerous in the sense that one can be hit by the object and reignite the injury. The coaches, therefore, can provide education to these permanently injured players by facilitating injury prevention, associations and sporting leagues. These organizations should keep them all the information concerning the frequency, severity, outcome of injuries among participants and types. The clubs educate the players through several ways, for example, maintaining an updated database on their websites. They inform the players on the specific risks, forms of injuries, how injuries happen and measures to prevent further harm. The sites should incorporate the particular links that give valuable information on proper usage and how to put specific equipment and injury facts.

The players are also guided psychologically to accept the situation and learn how to cope up with life with the permanent injury. The participants are counseled and appreciated for their contribution when they used to play for the club. Such kinds of appreciation make the players feel honored and this boosts their self-esteem. Besides that, the players are supported financially to be able to meet their basic needs. This can be done in the form of loans for them to help themselves, the club can also support their kids to further their education and meet their other needs. Such generous acts by the club make the players appreciate themselves despite the fact that they are permanently disabled. Sometimes financial support is given alongside gifts such as a car or a house.

The club can also support the players by catering for their medical expenses. This is very common among soccer clubs. The players who require constant medical attention are taken care of by the club. This necessitates them maintaining a good health with full medical attention as well as their families. These players should also be provided with necessary gadgets such as wheelchairs, crutches and many others. These devices facilitate their movement from one point to another or may reduce pain. Hence the club and the individual players should have a collaborative association where the players can be able to access necessary help. The education ranges from psychological, financial, physical and emotional.

This will ensure that all the people have obtained the right procedure that will completely transform and change their lives.
