All this year, people come, and people go. Counting every new year start, people start to do planning for their new year resolution and is a must do to plan their year throughout. All year-round still wishing for the same old new year resolution? Dreaming to have that ideal body? As always, I would always list down my new year resolution. I always tell myself that: “Annie, new year is coming, make sure that all of the new year resolution listed would be done by this year, said with finger crossed.”
Few years back, I remember after I graduated my high school, doing fitness and sports is never in my list anymore. This shows how much I hated sports and fitness because who likes being under the dirty sweat and under the hot sun?
Being healthy and staying lean has always been my number one new year resolution. Once in year 2017, I started my first workout. To be honest, it was tough and very tiring. Despite I was very tiring, but I always tell myself: “Annie, no excuses and keep going after all it will be worth it to see your ideal body to come to reality.”
My mum once told me, “how you do one thing decide how you do everything in your everyday life.” She might not be the best mentor but however this phrase has been resonated around me for plenty years. With countless of hours spend in the gym and researching online, thousands of observing and meeting a lot of new people whom is also passionate in fitness.
They always love to share their thoughts and discussing about their fitness and sports techniques throughout their fitness journey. Oh, not forgetting famous celebrity diets too. A few things got me even clearer on how I should continue my fitness journey.
Furthermore, I would always love to stay fit and healthy but to be honest; going to gym alone is very tiring. I really want to be lean, but the fitness journey was tough without anyone supporting me and it was also difficult to find someone no matter friends or family member whom is as passionate as me who can go gym together and has the same goals as me.
One day, when I was going through scrolling YouTube or Pinterest, a post from my news feed caught my attention. It says, “Fear no more, just do it and overcome it.” Therefore, I decided to read more information about healthy diets and different workouts that is suitable for me because different people have different body shape.
Going through all times of research to search the best diet for myself is rough, because I do not have a professional gym trainer, so all the information given online is not 100% guaranteed if the workout is good or meh, but fortunately I found a lot of useful and heartiness fitness tips and tricks for beginners. As I am not a professional gym trainer, so I often go through my fitness journey with Mr. Google.
During the same time, I got inspired to an idea of going on workout all by myself so without any hesitation. I then immediately quickly search and register for a gym session and at first of course, I would be scared because my body is not flexible anymore and my bones is slowly hardened because of the long period timing of not doing exercises.
I am not going to lie and said that I do not feel any sort of uncomfortableness and nervousness before I reach to start doing my gym session because my heart stops a beat when I see a lot of things that I am not familiar with various gym equipment provided in the gym such as dumb bells, rowing machine, exercise bikes and cross trainers etc.
While I was in the gym, I was amazed and said “Wow! Annie, here we go! Let’s hit the gym and work for your ideal body.” With the help of the equipment, I did around 3 hours of gym, thinking that the making of my ideal body. By just imagining, I smiled and said “Yes, it is worth it after all.”
Despite that I hate to sweat but I love the way how exercising can help to relax my own mind and eliminate stresses from various platforms. I believe that by exercising regularly and eating the right food. My fitness journey would not be that harsh.
A person who is both fit in physically and mentally is strong enough to face their ups and downs nor challenges approaching them which will be not affected by the drastic changes even if it takes place.
In my opinion, fitness does not only refer to being physically fit but also refers to a person’s mental state. If a person is physically fit but is mentally troubled or unwell, he or she would not be able to function optimally. Besides that, being physically fit requires a huge change in your daily lifestyles such as your sleeping habits, eating habits and health habits.
Continuously from the previous point, in order to be both physically and mentally healthy, you will need to incorporate a regular exercise cardio in your life and eat healthier by avoiding junk foods, soft drinks, bad habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol and by getting an enough amount of rest, slowly you will be realizing that you will become more and more physically and mentally fit.
Despite that I hate sweating and exercising, but after all this, seeing my ideal body slowly having progression. I feel like whatever I have done previously has been slowly been put in as a habit for me and my body clock is always remind myself to start working out.
I know sweating can be very embarrassing if you are in school, at work or just spending your day out at the city. Sweat marks and the stench could leave you in a big embarrassment but has beneficial to your health and body. Sweating is just a part of you trying to release your stress from daily life and sweating is a good thing to
As I were told during high school in my Science class, my mentor once said that a liter of sweat in our bodies that are produce in a day can strengthen your immune system and give us healthy looking skin. “Sweating is the way the body and skin protects itself from overheating. Sweating also increases the blood circulation in the body,” said by Dr. Adebola Dele-Michael.
I know that fitness is not easy, and it needs time to build in your body because after a long period of resting and suddenly you pick up a heavy load of workout routine. Your body would not be able to accept it as quickly because your body alarm is not awakened yet. Once it is awakened, you would not feel tiring anymore but instead you are enjoying it.
This is the way of how I perceived my fitness journey, as I mentioned before different people has different body shape not all of the workouts are suitable for you as long as you found yourself a comfort zone of doing your exercise. Believe me!
The body achieves what the mind believes so do not wish for a nice body, just work for it! No excuses and keep going to achieve your ideal body.
