The Importance of Some Skills in Gaining Higher Education

College education is a must thing to do in todays fast pace world. It puts a lot of responsibility on ones shoulders. One experiences an increased level of academic competition and makes one responsible for his/her actions, learning, and even their failures. Because of different environment than high school, it requires one to use more skills than needed in high school. Time management, reading skills and social skills are the most important skills needed to be successful in college.

In high school, teachers try to be easy on students with assignments due dates and with students coming showing up late to class. However, in college, teachers tend to set everything on stone. From assignments due date to showing up on an exam day requires one to do it on time because even a slight delay could cause a lot of problem to a student. On top of that college requires one to complete full taken credits, successfully. So, time management is very important for a student to be successful in college.

In college it requires by most of the classes to read in order to understand the lecture throughout the semester; For example my Bus1100 class is all depends on reading the textbook in order to understand the lectures given in the next class every week. The one should kept in his/her mind that whatever they learned at school will help them be a successful person in college life. In addition the reading is one of the most necessities for one because it helps to achieve the goal consequently.

It is required by most of the classes in the college to work in groups in order to get better result and set a competition among the classmates. In order to perform a group work ones needs to know how to be socializing between people who you dont know. It also makes one more mature to do his/her task evenly no matter where they are doing it. Such as social skills help one to get in class project without any hesitation and try to convince them with ones point of views, and also its give all of us opportunity to be easy with our surroundings. That means socializing also helps ones to be successful in his/her goal of achieving the task in the college.

In conclusion, I would say that time management, reading skills and social skills can make one very successful in college because not only it makes one practical, but also builds a good human being for the society. If one possesses these skills, then nothing will come in ones way.
