Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, in 1899 Al Capone who grew up in an immigrant family and would later be well known in New york. The start of Capone would begin when he dropped out of sixth-grade and started getting involved in gangs. He worked at many jobs which include a munitions factory, and then he became a bouncer at a club called Coney Island. Capone's nickname scarface came from hitting on a girl which led to him getting slashed on the face with a knife which lead to his face being scarred. The Valentines dat mascre would end up being a bid event to Capone although he beats the murder case he gets charged with tax envasion.

Al Capone was a crazy man and often had a short temper also known as short man syndrome. On May 17, 1929, Al Capone was arrested along with his bodyguard for having concealed deadly weapons. In about 16 hours they were sentenced to a year in prison. After serving 9 months he was set a free man for good behavior.

Al Capone's time was during the ban of alcohol or the prohibition. In 1929 Capone led in the illegal alcohol trade. However this was not as big of a deal then the massacre they thought Capone was apart of. In response to the public over the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, President Hoover ordered the government to up its efforts to convict Capone on evasion of income taxes. The Supreme Court had made a law in 1927 that income earned on illegal activities was taxable, which gave the government a good case for prosecuting Capone. On June 5, 1931 the U.S. government found Capone guilty with 22 counts of tax evasion.

Although the government had good evidence against him Capone remained confident that he would only get a small amount of time and that he would get a plea bargain in return for a small amount of time. When the judge in the case said that he would not condone on any agreement Capone then chose not to plead guilty and the case went to trial. During the trial Capone did his favorite thing and that was bribery and intimidation. But in the last moments of the trial the judge switched to an entirely new plan. Then Capone was sentenced to 11 years in prison which he was later found with syphilis.
