As the fruits of love, babies are born every moment. Unfortunately, people die every second as well. However, the causes of death vary. In the United States, one person takes his or her own life in every fourteen point two minutes. Suicide is the third-ranking cause of death in the fifteen-to-twenty-four age range. As if it verifies the fact, on April fourteenth in Massachusetts, fifteen-year-old girl, Phoebe Prince took her own life. The teenage suicide rate is significantly increasing every year. Places like Chicago have come to a sense that the public school needs to involve with the prevent suicide movement. However, most people do not please to talk about the problem in public. They may read about it through the news, magazines, or the Internet. Yet most of the family thinks this issue is not an appropriate topic at the dinner table to talk with their children, just like back in the time when parents did not want to talk about sex and opposite gender. I have a solution people need to build up their trust with people closest to them, people think that it is just females and not men, and you have communication.

According to the recent studies, the number of deaths of men by suicide is four times more than women. Nevertheless, women more frequently attempt to commit suicide than men. An estimated nineteen million Americans suffer from depression. Although most depressed people are not suicidal. Thirty percent of all depressed inpatients attempt suicide. If the numbers are easy to see the seriousness of the suicide issue, fourteen young people take their own lives every day, in other number's every one hundred minutes someone commits suicide. However, this issue is not only happening in the United States but all over the world. Fourteen days after the death of Prince, another fifteen-year-old girl in Korea jumped off from her apartment rooftop.

In worldwide, suicide is the third rank of the leading cause of death. This is getting really serious and must be prevented. Teen suicide rates are increasing. Yet people do not know the cause of the problem or should it be said, there could be more than one reason. However, if the community tries to help and watch out each other, communication is the key to bring the problem down. It helps teens from feeling isolated, make easier for them to find help when they need, and people should not be afraid of discussing suicide. People need to communicate to know what is going on in the person's life. Some people feel like people don't talk to them, but in reality people don't like to communicate to new people.

Prevention of teen suicide can start from the family. The family relationships have somewhat related with the teen suicide rate, especially the recent rise in suicides can be traced in part to the lingering detritus of the economic recession, primarily unemployment, home foreclosure, and bankruptcies they’re also troubled by the recent cluster of teen suicides. On the top of that parents with alcohol or drug problems or who are abusive, or a family life affected by parental discord, separation, or divorce are also the other factors of causes of teen suicide. Parents are able to configure and provide a role as a family member for their children to learn responsibility. For example, when the family is making a decision such as buying a home or home goods, ask their kids an opinion. Let the children know what is going on with the family. It does not have to be in detail of hardship so that it could be a burden for them, but the extent of where they can learn responsibility.

One of the most important aspects of teen suicide prevention is support. The teenager needs to know that you support and love him or her and that you are willing to help him to her find hope in life. The family’s role is to support families. Conversation is always important in human society. However, sometimes it is hard to express one’s feelings, emotions, and thoughts. Adolescence can be a turbulent time. Teenagers deal with a vast array of new experiences during this transitional period, such as new relationships, decisions about the future, and the physical changes that are taking place in their bodies. Therefore, it is important for the surrounding people to know well enough to notice the change of one’s behavior, and able to encourage when a teen needs them. The process to know the other will be through conversation. Most of the time, teen need is to be reassured that they have someone to whom they can trust it, family, friends, school counselor, physician, or teacher to discuss their feelings or problems. Just like in earlier times, when people were embarrassed to say the word sex, death of family or friends is not an easy topic to talk about. However, the suicide topic cannot be hidden in the closet. People are able to talk about it. When it is easy to share the idea about suicide, it will be better for people who need assist to ask for help but also people can have more knowledge about the signal of suicide, acknowledging, and preventing the accident. Richard McKeon, who is chief for suicide prevention at the Substance Abuse and Mental health Services Administration, said “people need to be able to say the word suicide and not be afraid to ask their loved ones the question.” We need to ask the question and be willing to help. It is not an easy topic to bring it up and sometimes it can hurt someone’s feeling but it needs to be done some way. We cannot lose more people because we are ashamed of the death of our child. Although conversation is ideal, teens are not always open to talk about their problems. Sometimes they never share their problem. It needs to be built up from a young age or it needs time to be trusted, believe, and communicate with a teenager. Also it’s often difficult to pinpoint why people take their own lives. This indicates that most of the people do not really know each other. It is important to seek professional help when it is necessary.

People wait for the last minute, but it is too late for people who are already suffering. Trust does not appear out of blue. Therefore, this issue is very time-consuming. The family needs to be patient to wait for one to share his or her inner self with their family. This issue needs close attention. It is serious problem in the age between fifteen-to-twenty-four. Parents need to more responsible for their children. Teachers need to be attached to their student, individually with a true heart. We must fight the invisible fact with leads our kid to self-destruction. Parents, teachers, and other adults are able to share the idea about the purpose of one’s living. But for an adult to know and share the importance of one’s existence, they need to have a lot of conversation with the teen. It is obvious that human cannot read others mind.
