I genuinely believe that youths are change agents when it comes to shaping the future of the world. As a tech-savvy generation, youth leaders can create social movements that can drive vital change. Young adults can engage in the issue by using different approaches.

The first step in working to eradicate any problem is starting with oneself. Young adults should start with themselves when it comes to eradicating poverty. Whether it is to bring about gender equality or to derail the catastrophe that is climate change or to bring about food security, education always plays a vital role. Young adults should educate and empower themselves. By doing so they will be able to gain invaluable lessons and various tools that will help them tackle the problem. They will be able to provide for themselves economically thus taking the first step in eradicating poverty. After empowering themselves and taking themselves out of the problem, they can engage on this issue by creating awareness and using community level intervention.

Creating awareness is also major way in engaging in the issue. By educating people starting their own families and communities, young adults can play an important role in tackling this issue. Whether it is about good saving habits, nutrition, gender equality or reproductive health, educating the community and creating awareness is one of the major ways young adults can be involved in the fight against poverty. This will also instill good habits in children at a very young age. Instilling positive practices like saving and conservation into communities so that children grow up practicing them will have a monumental effect in creating a conscious generation.

Another way young adults can engage in this issue is by coming up with various innovations that aid with development. In this day and age where technological innovations play an important role in alleviating the livelihood of communities, young people can have an astronomical impact by modernizing traditional ways of farming and agriculture making them more effective and efficient. Not only that but they also play an important role in conserving natural resources of the country.

Another way young people can engage in the poverty eradication process is by demanding to be included in the decision and policy making process of the country. By being involved in these processes, young adults will have the floor to put forward their opinions and have the platform to share their own unique takes of the problem and help come up with innovative solutions. As policies play an important role in the development of a country, young people should engage in the process to come up with transparent, effective and research based policies, and one of the major approaches young adults should take in order to engage in the issue to come together whether it be using social media, national and international networks, associations or other methods, because it is no secret that when young people come together and work for a common good they can bring unprecedented change.
