The Significance of Faith in Creating Peace in Society

As time goes by, different religions had shown up that make the world’s peacefulness disappear. The people start fighting because of their different religious beliefs. Some are questioning the beliefs of other religions; some are insistently proving that their religion is real and better than others’. And some are against religions and God.

People have different beliefs that is why there are many religions existing today. Because of this, people start fighting. They keep on questioning and proving to one another who has the real and better religion. They do not think that fighting against each other cannot make them or their belief better. This then will result to a divided world.

Aside from the fighting of the different religions, there are also people and organizations that are against God and religions. “To see is to believe” we are all familiar this saying. Most of the scientists and people who believe in science believe in that maxim. They believe what our eyes see our minds interpret. It is like we cannot believe something that we do not see. And something that is unseen cannot be of any existence at all. That was their explanation why they are against religions and God.

But, come to think about the wind? Can we see the wind? No, but we can feel it exists. Now tell me how can you say the wind is non-existent when everyone believes it does exist even if they do not see it? The answer of the believers is simple. We do not only use our eyes to determine a certain thing’s existence. We have to accept the fact that some things in this world are unseen and yet worth and deserving of belief and faith.

Hence, we have to feel God and accept the fact that we are incapable of seeing Him. Our senses can never define God. It is only by our faith that we could see Him. We do not need to fight against each other just to prove who has the better and more real religions. Because, religion cannot save us. It is our faith in God which can. So, let us just help one another to make the world we are living in a better place for all.
