Thomas Jefferson was ranked to be the better president of all the rest. He defended the true principles of the Federal Constitution and the economic. Jefferson was the author of the Declaration of Independence. He was also the last president to sign the Declaration of Independence. Jefferson did good in his life of being president.

Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13th, 1743 in Shadwell, Virginia. He was the second vice president and the third president. He was the head person responsible for the Louisiana Purchase. He later died in his bed at Monticello,Virginia on July 4th 1826.

In Thomas Jefferson’s early life, he wrote the Declaration of Independence and was the third president. He was born in an important family of Virginia’s planter elite. Jane Jefferson , was a member of the proud Randolph clan she was Jefferson’s mother. That was a group or family as they say, that were descended from the English and Scottish royalty. Now his Dad on the other hand, was a man on the farm and helped make things go round and do all the housework. He was a cartographer who made the first map of Virginia. Out of 10 siblings he was the third one born.

As a young man he was like any other typical kid living under the roof of any rich or wealthy parent. He was a kid who really tried to do good for himself. He really put effort into what he wanted. He loved playing in the woods but he also became really good at violin and reading. His education started at the age nine. The courses he had studied was Latin and Greek at a local private school.

In 1757, he was at the age of 14 years old and wanted to further his education into classical languages, literature, and math. Reverend Maury a mentor of Thomas helped him along the way. Jefferson described Reverend Murray as a “correct classical scholar”.

In 1760, Jefferson left to attend a college of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia’s capital. The college was the second oldest in America. Jefferson was concerned to find that his other classmates were wasting money on betting for horse races and playing cards. He was concerned but he kept to himself and didn’t lose focus for he was on the right track. He fell in a group of older students, that went by the names of, Professor William Small, Lieutenant Governor Francis Fauquier and lawyer George Wythe. With them helping Thomas Jefferson he had succeeded his education.

From 1767-74 he studied law in Virginia and had a lot of success. He tried many cases and won a majority of them. During the years studying law, he met Martha Skelton he truly fell in love with her. She was the wealthiest women in Virgina. They got married January 1st in 1772. They had six kids together but only two survived into adulthood, Martha the firstborn child and Mary the fourth. Unfortunately only Martha survived her father. After all that with getting married to Martha and losing 4 kids after having only six children. Jefferson then moved on and decided to begin a professional life that corresponded with great changes in Great Britain’s American colonies.

Towards the end of the French and Indian War in 1763 left Great Britain in terrible financial straits; to bring up revenue, the crown levied a host of new taxes on its American Colonies. So eight years go by. It’s December 16, 1773. Colonists who disapproved of a British tea tax dumped 342 boxes of tea into the Boston Harbor thus calling it the “Boston Tea Party”. April 1775, American Militiamen came together with the Brits at the Massachusetts towns of Lexington and Concord, the first battles in what developed into the American Revolutionary war. Thomas Jefferson was also one of the earliest and nearly all fervent supporters of the cause of American Independence from greater Britain. He was voted to be the Virginia House of Burgesses in 1768.

In 1774, Jefferson planned his first major political work, “A Summary View Of the Rights of British American.”. A year goes on, in 1775 He attended the Second Continental Congress. And later on, the Congress’s most important work was done by Jefferson himself. Jefferson did good in his life of being president.
