Being a computer engineering student, I have always loved programming. Coding has become my passion gradually while doing my under graduation. The brain storming while working on programming is the most challenging part which I loved the most.
I still remember when I was in 10th grade and we were introduced with C language for the first time, it was so much fun doing programming in C. That time I wasn’t aware of the scope of computers in technology.
After finishing with my high school, I was very confused in deciding the branch I want to pursue my BTECH from. I talked to few experienced people and did my own research too and then I finally decided to do bachelors in computer engineering. I took admission in one of the prestigious university, Charotar University of Science and Technology. In First year, we had to deal with C and C++ which was easy for me. Programming kept hold of my interest in it and as semesters passed; I got familiar with different languages like Turbo C, Java, C#, Prolog and Lisp. Then lots of new things were introduced from how the computers function to creating projects. In the fourth semester, we were introduced with the microprocessor and Java. Java was totally a new environment for me to work in. It was much easier than C or C++. It was fun programming with Java. In fifth semester, we dealt with web programming and advanced database management system. Though tough but it was interesting to know how websites are created. I took “Artificial Intelligence” as my elective. Here, I worked on other amazing languages, Prolog and Lisp. I got comfortable with both these languages very quickly. In sixth semester, we dealt with big data, cryptography and computer networking layers. In seventh semester, we dealt embedded systems as an elective subject, advanced computing, compiler construction, service oriented architecture and mobile computing.
In eight semester we had to compulsorily undergo through a professional training at an IT based company. I went to a company named Tatvasoft where I was been placed during my campus placements. In that company I developed two projects based on .Net technology and SQL Server. One project was based on e-shopping cart similar like Amazon and other was Urology System was basically an web based application to record the urinary events of patients suffering from prostate cancer as per rehabilitation process and can refer to healthcare professional. Healthcare Professional can assess the records of the patient who approach them with this application and supplied the information. Since then I am working in this company as a Software Engineer. It is completely a different experience from the coding I used to do in my college. This motivated me to do my Masters in Computer Science.
Current technology changes tell us everything about what future holds for Computer science students. There is no end to “better technologies”, they will keep on emerging. Now the question comes that why should you select me out of so many applicants? Well, firstly I had done two online courses on “Introduction to Mobile and Application Development” and “Mobile Computing” from Nptel which adds extra credit to my CV. Also, I have a certificate for “Robotics” from “A-SET training and research institute”. I was also a part of seminar held on Virtual Reality and Ethical Hacking. My knowledge on so many different programming languages along with my passion for sports will surely separate me from most of the applicants. And I believe my passion for programming and dedication along with your faculties will surely make a miracle.
In addition to my regular studies at various levels from Primary till now; I am taking regular classes in Garba (type of dance form) and bhangra (type of dance form), one of the fastest and most traditional forms of dancing in my Country. Especially during my School days, I actively associated myself with various Community Service activities aimed at the amelioration of the oppressed, suppressed, depressed and the under – privileged sections of people and also to activities for keeping the nature safe like “Rally for Rivers, GoGreen Anand Marathon”. During my Under Graduate studies, I allocated good time for the same purpose. I am also an active sportsman and have interest in many sports. I was part of Anand District cricket team and college national team. I was also part of our college national basketball team. During my school academic years I was part of kabaddi team, badminton team and volleyball team. I had also attended NCC (National Cadet Corps) as an army branch for two years and during that tenure I attended one outing camp for military type practices and its work ethics. Apart from sports and other activities, during school days I was part of Spell Bee completion and Bournvita Quiz meets. I also gave asset exam similar to Science and Maths Olympiad.
I was motivated for computers in my high school days itself. And then my internship solved my dilemma. I want to push myself into techno-world and my reason behind selecting United States of America for pursing my graduation is because United States is leading country when it comes to technology. Studying in such country will definitely give me better sense of techno-world and Florida State University is one of the best universities to study in. This is a never ending area of development. The more you code, the better you develop.
Why Florida State University? Who wouldn’t like to study with some of the best faculties like Professor Sudhir Agrawal, Professor Mike Burmester, Professor Shayok Chakraborty and many more experts. Apart from faculties, student life is amazing at Florida State University. The location, activities, student groups and so much more. Certainly, there is a bright future for computer science graduates of Florida State University.
I already know where I have to be after 10 years from now. But to get there, I need a delightsome job and for that I need a congenial Masters degree. So all in all this is transitivity. Masters in Computer Science undoubtedly has amazing future and so does its graduates. Hence, pursuing this degree won’t just be walking down the path I like, but it will also be the keys for unlocking the bright future I have ahead of me.
Coming from a family where everyone has excelled in academic achievements, I have developed a keen desire to pursue my graduate studies and research in Computer Science Engineering in a University of Excellence, which will provide me an opportunity to work with most modern and sophisticated equipment and intellectual environment by which I would be able to realize my dreams of exploring and contributing new vistas in the chosen field. Your institute, which is reputed to possess the above, besides having a host of eminent professors on its faculty, gives me wonderful opportunity to hone my skills and acquire knowledge.
