Why I Want to Get an Information Technology Degree at Pace University

Dear Admission Council, I am Brilant Baci, a graduated engineer at Electronics and Digital Communications from Epoka University. Firstly, I would like to start this letter by describing myself as a very calm, energetic, social and caring person. I come from a beautiful town of Albania called Shkoder where I attended my high school and was raised with the idea to love and embrace innovation and change evolution. The technology area attracted me to its world, the curiosity made me learn many interesting things, and the more I learned the more I was eager to learn even more. My background in Information Technology is very good, because Information Technology is more than a passion to me, and for this I thought to further expand my knowledge.

For that reason I started the road to this long-term aim. Firstly I graduated from high-school in my hometown with a good GPA grade and had a very nice and helpful time there. Then I got accepted to Epoka University and earned a Bachelor there in Electronics Engineering and Digital Communications. I graduated from the university with not the best GPA but that comes from the extreme hardship of having some difficulties of the age which start from moving alone into a big city in a young age and the hard subjects of this field of engineering. In spite of that I have been working for three years now in a company connected deeply with technology. I want to start a new career in the field of technology and I plan to study and get a degree for Information Technology. I am ready to redo my Bachelor studies and now I feel really strong and experienced to make it with a better GPA. My goal is to find a new Bachelor in one of the best Universities for my degree because I want to boost my career.

My first choice for this is Pace University. I say this because from the research I did and information I got for this University. I will mention here some important facts about this University which made me really think that acceptance in this University would change my life in a good way. Firstly, Pace University is a big scientific center with a great and contemporary campus. Furthermore, this University develops at its students the idea and the need to research, in this way it gives a great contribution in creating new technologies. In the other hand, I got thrilled surfing about implementations which are done there. The robotics lab projects are very special. Especially the Intelligent agent for network security is a project that really hit me and made me want to be part of these magnificent projects. All these beautiful and thrilling projects implemented at Pace make me conclude that this institution is the perfect habitat for me in order to boost my skills. Not only I am eager to increase my knowledge about this field which I am passionate about, but I also want to get involved with all the great work that you do. The blending of practice with my passion for innovative ideas closely connected to technology will make me more complete professionally and personally, where later on I can apply all these in my country by making people’s life easier by using applications and give more contribution into developing and bringing my experience from The United States. I would love to see my country as well developed as your country. I have no doubt that this experience in The United States would be extremely helpful and inspiring for my personality and I find myself really into it. My long time plan is that after gaining the Bachelor’s degree at Pace is to make a return to my country and establish my own Information Technology company.

However, before that, I need to get prepared, improve my skills and gain leadership qualities. I will be able to get all these special knowledge if I join Pace University.
