School is like a computer, where students are the internals inside the computer and teachers are the keyboard. The students are confined inside for a period of time while the teachers peck on the keyboard, feeding them with information, but it is up the students to do the work, and no matter how hard the teachers peck at the keyboard, if the internals don’t listen, no work will be done.
School, and education in general is a very valuable learning experience that we receive because it teaches us the foundations for our future careers, whether that be the hospitality industry, the engineering industry, the technology industry, or many other different types of careers. If someone were to be a makeup brand creator, they would need to take courses like chemistry to learn how different chemicals combine to create the makeup, mathematics to learn how to make different proportions of numbers which would help to create a recipe, applied skills to learn how to sell and advertise your brand, and English so you know how to convey the benefits of your particular makeup product. School also teaches us many skills that are valued in society, like punctuality by having a regular bell schedule , and expectations to do a particular task by a specific date and maturity by having many expectations such as handing in assignments on time and being responsible for ourselves, and those were just two skills that are taught in school think are the most important.
There are nearly endless possibilities when it comes to jobs, if you succeed in school. Every single day when we go school, we are being taught with information that will help us make a decision about what we would want to be after we finish high school and post-secondary. We need to take that information and use the skills we learned in school, and apply it to the particular industry or career that we are pursuing. School, even though most of us think it is boring and a waste of time, is actually really important because without it, the majority of us would end up on the streets. Even though a small minority of extremely successful people dropped out of high school or post-secondary such as Bill Gates who founded Microsoft2 and Steve Jobs who founded Apple2, that’s only going to happen to a few of us. Let’s appreciate school and look forward to our future career, which only time will tell.
