My desire to apply to Sacramento State University comes from being able to study from the best and having the knowledge to help the world further improve and advance. My determination motivates me to pursue my dreams and reach for the stars. Not only that, but my friends and family motivate me as well. I’m surrounded by brilliant minds with kind hearts who have sacrificed so much for my well being. What fascinates me about becoming an RN is studying the human body. The courses I’ve taken to help me with the process of becoming an RN are Psychology, Chemistry, and Anatomy. Everything about the human body interests me, from the base cells all the way up to the organism. Being able to help others with their problems is very rewarding to me and I hope to motivate others to become anything they want.
I believe becoming an RN takes a lot of determination and dedication. Although becoming an RN takes at least four years of schooling, I think the overall career choice is demanding and challenging. In my high school years, I’ve taken courses to help me with my understanding of becoming an RN, but besides that I have done some volunteer work as well. I’ve gone down to San Rafael to help at a senior home and met elders that suffer from commonly known diseases, such as arthritis, alzheimer's, and diabetes. Being around those people has shown me the many stories they had. It made me not only care for them more and made me look up to them, but also give me the motivation to help others with similar problems and have solutions to help prevent this. With guidance and mentoring, I’m sure I will have the tools to help others in needs and better the world.
Besides my relevance of the course and achievements outside of class, I’d like to say that I maintain transferable skills for the job. I am organized, I am a great leader, I am good at communicating and listening, I am independent, I perform well in teams, I am great with time management, and I have great problem-solving skills. As of now I work at a family-friendly restaurant, where I help with my fellow coworkers and guests. The job has given me the experience and skills of being in a career. I would like to be an RN because I would like this to be my long-term career. I feel the schooling is right for me and the job is perfect and I have the qualifications for it. I believe in peace, love and positivity. They are like the staples in my life that keep me self motivated and encourage others to be the best they can be. If I’m able to become an RN, I can get to know many families of different stories and backgrounds, allowing me to help them and better their future. I would like to help the world and encourage the youth to become whatever they want to be.
