What Genre Is Wuthering Heights?

Gothic literature employs dark and picturesque scenery, written, surprising and melodramatic means of expression, and in the general atmosphere of exoticism, fear and dread can be defined as mystery. Often, a Gothic novel or story revolves around a large, old house that hides a terrible secret or serves as a refuge for a particularly frightening and menacing character.
Wuthering Heights is a wild, passionate tale of intense and almost demonic love between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, who was owned by Catherine's father. Moreover, as the story develops, it describes the development that appears to be much in the characters as it progresses, and with this development the story begins to become chaotic and violent. Everything in this world is extremely simple, despite all its complexity. Desires dissolve, desires retreat, a wild nature with a back hum, a whining loneliness and a love-compromising mood remain.
