Why Is Henry Clerval’S Death Important In Frankenstein?

Henry Clerval is known for being the childhood friend of Victor Frankenstein. He is the only character shielding Victor from being a monster himself. Victor depicts him as having a 'honorable soul,' of being 'splendidly sympathetic, so mindful in his liberality, so brimming with graciousness and delicacy in the midst of his enthusiasm', as such, exactly an inverse of Victor himself.
What's more, Henry has no enthusiasm for science, unlike Victor. He's into the 'ethical relations of things,' a tricky expression that implies something like, 'how to be a decent person'. Henry is completely unaware of Victor’s creation. After Victor breaks his promise to his creature, to build him a female companion, the monster goes out and kills Henry Clerval.
After Henry’s death Justine Moritz, who is the housekeeper at the Frankenstein residence, is faced with murder charges for Henry Clerval’s death. After she is executed for Henry’s death, which she had nothing to do with, Victor spirals out of control and has no idea how to deal with himself. He is blaming himself for the doings of his creature, and begins to regret creating the creature in the first place.
Once you lose touch with your scientific creation, everything begins to spiral out and go bad. Human progress controls scientific progress, and Victor’s creation lacked the human progress, since Victor fled after witnessing what he had brought into the world. Victor viewed his creation as a monster, and did not see him for what he truly was on the inside, but for what he presented.
Having lost everyone he has ever loved, Victor was determined to spend the rest of his life pursuing the creature. He reported that his state of mind was one of extreme agitation and that he was propelled into action out of pure revenge. “And now my wanderings begun, which are to cease but with life.... But revenge kept me alive; I dared not to die and live my adversary in being.” (Shelley 89) For some time, the creator pursues his creation; he had chased him as far as the Arctic Circle when Walton rescued him.
