Finding My Home at American University

As I begin my college search, I have taken a significant amount of time to consider what I want in a university. After much consideration, I have found that American University (AU) is the ideal place for me to continue my academic journey. The first factor that drew me to AU was the location. Washington, D.C. has always been a place that has piqued my interest due to its unique mix of politics, culture, and diversity. I believe that studying in the heart of the nation's capital will give me opportunities to learn and grow in ways that would not be possible elsewhere. Being in such a dynamic location, I am excited to immerse myself in the cultural, political, and social aspects of D.C. and take advantage of the numerous internships and networking opportunities.

Another aspect that sets AU apart is the quality of the education that they offer. I am interested in pursuing a career in the business world, and the Kogod School of Business at AU is highly regarded for its exceptional business programs. The business school is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which is the highest level of accreditation that a business school can receive. With a curriculum that provides practical experience and an emphasis on global business, I am confident that I will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the competitive world of business.

In addition to the academic programs offered at AU, I was also impressed by the student organizations and extracurricular activities that are available on campus. In terms of what inspired me to pursue a career in business, it was my uncle who initially sparked my interest.
