For some people tomorrow is just another day; many do the same routine: get ready for school, go to class, go to sports practice, and sleep. Typically, peoples’ minds are prone to repeat the same process and go with what they have always done on a daily basis. However, there were once scientists in the 20th century that challenged every day to discover and uncover the secrets of the world unknown by man. They also strive to create new inventions that would soon benefit the future world. These people are the reason that the world is flourishing with new technology and knowledge because they were curious about the world around them. They went out and took action to uncover the mysteries unknown to the world. One of these world changers were Albert Einstein.
Albert Einstein was born Ulm, Germany on March 14, 1879. Albert studied in Switzerland while his parents moved to Italy. Albert enrolled at the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich, and he later earned his diploma to become a teacher in mathematics and physics. Although the world knows Einstein as a complete genius, he was not always successful. For example, Albert grew up disliking school, and he was once expelled because of his bad attitude. He also failed his entrance examination for the Federal Institute of Technology. However, Einstein never gave up on his goals and dreams in life. Albert finally got accepted into Zurich University where he met his soon to be wife, Mileva Maric. Even though Albert gained his diploma, he was unable to find a position to be a teacher.
He started working at the Swiss Patent Office in hope to become a technical expert. During his time working at the patent office, Albert did some of his most ingenious work in his entire lifetime. In 1905, he produced four innovative articles declaring his new findings. Einstein discovered special relativity which proved that space and time are connected, redefined the idea of what light is made of, proved the existence of an atom, and proved that energy and mass were equal to each other with the use of his famous formula ( E=mc^2). These groundbreaking discoveries were the foundation of new ideas to spark into the minds of other scientists and everyday people. However, at first people disregarded Einstein’s discoveries because they did not understand them. Einstein then started to doubt his ingenious ideas and began to think he was a failure. Then, scientists began to deeply experiment and observe Einstein’s discoveries, and they were astonished by what he had developed. After a couple years had passed, Albert finally got the opportunity to have a job located at University of Zurich which would enhance his placement as a future professor.
Einstein’s greatest masterpiece was the theory of relativity. This theory of relativity explained that the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers, and that the speed of light in a vacuum was independent of the motion of all observers. This theory of relativity also lead to new discoveries that would impact the modern world. For example, one of these discoveries was space-time. Space-time was defined that space and time are interwoven into a continuum. Some events that occur at one time to a specific person can occur at different times for another. This gave an important truth that was needed to further influence the ideas of scientists.
To conclude the essay, Albert Einstein was an impeccable genius that truly impacted the world even to this day.
