Temple Grandin sees and understands things differently than other people due to the fact that she had problems with her peers in school and even in her profession. According to Oliver Sacks, (1995) “Temple Grandin described her inability to understand the people with normal neural development, leaving her feeling ‘like an anthropologist on Mars’.”
Also, Temple experiences sexism when trying to integrate into the cattle ranching business. Temple Grandin is a hard-working young woman with determination regardless of these issues. She focuses on achieving her goals and overcomes all obstacles.
The central subject of the movie is people with autism are different, not less. The film shows that those with autism can see the world and perceive and then solve problems they are faced with daily.
