Depending on size and breed, puppies lose their milk teeth between 3.5 and 8 months of age. During this period of 4 to 5 months, the need to chew is like everything consumed, since it is totally natural. They simply have to do it. Just as a human baby finds relief with toys to chew during teething, so it is necessary for a puppy. Knowing this, if you provide a suitable outlet for your needs in the form of puppy fun teething toys, you can keep your chewing away from your furniture and family heirlooms. Your goal with a growing puppy is to provide toys for teething irresistibly fun, so you find the relief you need and do not have to - or want - to chew your belongings.

If your puppy is faced with the possibility of choosing specialized teething toys that are more fun, relieving and ultimately chewing compliance compared to their household items, they will always - accept, for the most part - aim for his toys. Your needs are met with greater precision and there will be no destruction and the cost for you to handle. A win-win.

While teething, the need to chew comes from the fact that the very act of chewing relieves the pressure of all these new teeth breaking through and damaging your gums. Also remember, if your puppy does not even like the toy, they will look for something else to enjoy instead. On the other hand, we want a toy with a little durability or we will always be spending on new ones and, of course, we must always have security in the forefront of our minds. Therefore, when choosing the teething toy for your puppy, keep the following points in mind: It should be soft enough to provide relief, tough enough to last For a working teething toy, it should have some elasticity. It should be gentle enough to feel like a prey, to keep your interest in it high, and so keep using the toy.

However, the toy must be firm and durable enough to last more than a couple of hours, if it does not cater to the needs of your puppy it will soon become very expensive. However, it should not be too hard for your puppy's sensitive gums to hurt. We have to find a good middle ground between softness and durability. It must be shockproof and must not be broken into pieces. It is a sad fact that many dogs and puppies die each year from suffocation or from the ingestion of small objects - and fragments or small pieces that have become detached from inexpensive or unsuitable toys. They are high on this list. So a suitable toy should be proof of fragmentation and is made of material that your puppy is unable to push small pieces out of reach. Otherwise expensive surgery - or worse - could be the result. Try different shapes and textures Different dogs have different tastes and dislikes. A toy of a puppy goes crazy completely could be rejected by another.

Therefore it is advisable to try a couple of different shapes and textures to see what works. It is also good to provide variety and change because if stuck with the same toys, puppies will soon get bored. Familiarity leads to boredom. With some toys at your disposal you can rotate in and out of use. If your puppy has not seen a toy for a few days, it will be like a new toy again when you take it for your pleasure. The toys must be the right size An appropriate toy for a Chihuahua puppy could swallow or choke a Great Dane puppy, a toy for a San Bernardo puppy would be so big that it is unusable by a young pug. Make sure the toys you buy are appropriate size for the breed. If it tastes good, better than better! What better than just chewing? Why, chewing something that tastes just great, of course! Many teething toys are edible these days (although still long-lasting), and many more can be filled with treats that will keep your puppy entertained for hours while trying to solve the treats out. Invest in tasty chews, do not use all the time, but to mix in for use from time to time. These will become valuable toys that your puppy will truly expect.
