To deal with different type of people is an art this art is required in a good employee. Problems arise at workplace due to many reasons including arrogance, negativity, ego, communication gap etc. Later conflicts arise among people which creates misunderstandings which becomes cause of decrease in profits and productivity. To cope up with these situations’ strategies must be applied by other co workers to make a positive environment around them. In most of the workplaces it is seen that some persons have a lot of fear in them. They fear to be on front desk, fear of handling customers. This phobia can be seen in such people from childhood those who overcomes this fear meets with the success but those who don’t, it gets increased in them.
Lack of confidence can be seen in them. Appreciation is the best way to deal with such people which will increase their confidence level to remove fear from them. On the other hand, there are some other persons who have a lot of arrogance in them which can be due to any of their personal problem. Anger comes in them in a short period of time and they are liked by none. On the other hand, negative environment is created by the negative co-workers, which disturbs the others too and makes others confidence level down. They have such negativity in them that they don’t want to do their jobs and they don’t have interest also. Whereas, some of the persons have too much ego that they don’t like to talk with anyone else and they have such thinking that they know everything.
So, these persons don’t want any help by their colleagues and they think their assistance as a disturbance for them. The foremost thing to deal with such persons is not to talk with them and just let them do their own work which should not be harming to others. Another way of clearing the misunderstandings is to talk with a mutual person about all matter or to do a direct talk with opposite person. It is commonly seen, if any dispute arises in two friends then another mutual friend can resolve their problems by talking with both. Except these, annoying habits of the other employers or teammates are the major problems. These habits can be talking very loudly, creating indiscipline, annoying eating habits etc. These persons have no moral values. Thus, to deal with them it is better to talk them directly and still if they don’t show any changes then it is better to complain about them to head or manager. Another difficulty is very commonly seen in organisations which is communication gap. It can be found in teammates, employee with customers, entrepreneurs. So, to make this problem clear translators can be used. Besides, an easy way to get them understand is using hand gestures or sign language. Thus, it is a very useful strategy to end this difficulty.
These all ways are very useful to solve the conflicts at workplace. A same situation was also faced by me last weekend when I was at my work in JW Marriot Hotel. It was my first day in Hotel and I had to do work with a Spanish Boy. He knew only some English words and it was great challenge for both of us to understand each other. So, a communication gap was there between us. In the first two hours a lot of problems arose but as the time passed we started understanding each other’s thoughts simply by using hand gestures or by simply pointing on the things and both of us did a great work at that time and we became good friends. Thus, this was how we resolved our problem of communication. At last, the above information founds to be very useful in any work because these are almost similar problems and personally an experience was also faced by me and in future too if I will face any other problem I will surely use these strategies. So, I can say that by using the given strategies one can handle the situation.
Moreover, these tips are found to be helpful to create a positive environment in workplace and will surely raise up unity in employees which will raise up the dignity of the company or any organisation.
