Doesn’t every 8th grader need inspiration? What about a person to inspire them? Malala Yousafzai is a 16 year old girl who changed the way people looked at education. Malala is a girl who was shot by the Taliban for believing in education. They thought the bullet would shut her up, but they were wrong. She recovered and came back stronger than ever, and is a very strong inspirational speaker. Malala Yousafzai should speak at the Crews Middle School 8th grade award ceremony.

Malala is a great inspiration because she is brave. For example, she was shot because she was encouraging education. That didn’t stop her though. She came back stronger than before and fought back with her inspirational words. According the article by Dan Buckley, she wrote a blog at the age of 11 describing Taliban abuses to the BBC World Service. This could show kids that being brave can get you many things in life, and that you sometimes have to fight for things that are very close to your heart. Also, she never gives up. “She is luck to be alive,” says Dr. Dave Rosser, the medical director of University Hospitals in Birmingham, UK. She was fighting for her life, and others were outside the hospital cheering her on. Protesters in Karachi carried posters saying “Malala our prayers are with you” and “ Shame on You Taliban.” If no one was cheering her on to to get better, who knows what would’ve happened to her? One of the most biggest lessons in life is to never give up, and Malala can teach that to the students. Malala’s adversity is not relatable, but the way she overcame that adversity can teach people a few things, such as being brave and never giving up.

Malala Yousafzai is also all about education. As you know she fought for education of girls, but did you know she was a symbol for education? “Around the world, the young blogger has become a poster child for a widespread need to permit girls to get an education,” says CNN. She has become a symbol in many peoples heart and lives. Also, she can show kids not to take education for granted. Many kids don’t care about school ,and they don’t study. That can change! With Malala coming to Crews Middle School, the students who were not taking education seriously will realize what they were missing out on. “ I was scared of being beheaded by the Taliban because of my passion for education,” says Malala to the CNN. There are girls in Pakistan who are fighting for education, but we already have it. Some kids are misusing the education girls in Pakistan are literally dying for. Many might say that Malala’s adversity is not relatable, but her words can teach us things we never thought about before. For example, education.

So, Malala should come to the 8th grade award ceremony at Crews Middle School because she is brave, she never gives up, she is all about education, and she can show kids not to take education for granted. You might think these are the biggest reasons why Malala should come to the award ceremony, but the biggest reason is that 8th graders need inspiration. They’re about to be high school student, and high school is no joke. Malala’s speech could change the way kids think about their own future. So, don’t you think Malala should speak at the Crews Middle School 8th grade award ceremony?
